7 major miscues today:

3 Interceptions
1 Lost Fumble

Defensive offsides on a Gopher 4th down incompletion gave MN a 5th DOWN and MN scored 7 points on the next play

1 Blocked punt cost IOWA 3 points

Punt return fumble at the end that would have basically set us up for the game winning FG. Instead we had to be bailed out by the penalty and had to start on our own end.

One of the few players that showed up was Tanner Philpott.

Another exceptional hold by Tanner here. He also came up big on the game-winner vs. Iowa State.

4 TOs and a blocked punt. 3 other fumbles we had that we recovered. A dropped INT that would’ve sealed it essentially. Basically we tried everything possible to try and lose and finally succeeded

yeah, we had no business winning that game at the end with how crappy we played

I’m not surprised we blew a game we shouldn’t, it was going to happen. But the manner we blew this game… there are no words. I kind of hope we lose another game or two because of this is the effort that caused us to miss the playoffs it’ll nag at me for a decade.

Didn't get to watch but listened to Dolph and Angerer. Sounded like we just kept shooting ourselves in the dick and Minny didn't as much. They Iowa'd us. Dolph made it sound like Vonnhame stumbled on that third down play on our last series, here people are saying Brown missed him so idk there. We needed to run the ball today and failed to do so

Let's not let the coaches off the hook here. Yes the players made many mistakes but Kirk and Co. were thoroughly outcoached by Minnesota. They had our offense on lockdown the entire game.

Lol like Hank was any better. I wish Kirk would just come out and admit Hank is his favorite. I would actually have more respect

But ultimately it doesn't matter. Both QBs are so average...at best. Do we really have to put up with one of these guys the next 2 years?

Let's rip the bandaid off and start playing Sullivan or Bessinger if they have shown any ability to be decent QBs. No harm in trying to play for the futurr at this point. Season is done anyway for any meaningful outcome

Good perspective. Crazy that Iowa hadn't lost at Minnesota in 12 years.

Look for another "or" for Monday's depth chart.

Check this out & watch:

The season isn’t done (except for any chance at the playoffs, which I never thought they would make, anyway). There is still hope for 9-3, and even a very slim chance at 10-2.

Throwing Sullivan or Bessinger out there would be a disaster, IMO. Give them reps in any blowouts, yes. Otherwise have a true QB competition in camp next year.

Heck was 9/16 62 yds 1 int after 16 passes brown was 8/16 39 yds and 1 int.

lester was abysmal today. Saw with 2nd drive we got to the 10 with early pass plays there on 1st especially rpo which same play for Diaz big gain. But do we continue with trend, no we try and force the run all game 30 for 90 yds and little short passes against stacked box. And when we did throw an incomplete on first we ran it least 4x on 2nd and 10 for 1 or no gain. But when we got ball back just over 3 min to go back to conservative play calling was BS weak stuff by Lester.
