True but I'll still not underestimate the task in anyway.
4-5 are going to be wars. Lucky we get UofL and Florida at home. I wouldn’t want to have to go to UT and the Swamp. That UT game really scares me the most, can’t overlook Mizzou. I don’t think UofL has the defense to beat us but they do have a dynamic RB and QB so that could pose problems. Plus it’s a rival game and we all know that could be wonky.

I never thought it possible but after this past weekend a 9 and 3 sec may make it. Sadly, I doubt that team is us. It will be a brand name team. We need to go 10 and 2.
Yup, we can only drop one at most to have a chance. If we make the SEC championship they will factor in that game as well which won’t be easy. We have a lot of work left to even think about that though.

I disagree about the last part. Part of being a fan is the thrill of dreaming big. Obviously the SEC is Jeckyl and Hyde this year and you never know if youre going to get someones best game or worst any any given Saturday. There's a path where we have a losing record in our remaining games. But there's also a path to the playoffs in there as well. This coach and team has me dreaming dreams I've never dared. Dreams that have been delayed for the 49 yrs I've been on this Earth. I refuse to delay them any further and will enjoy every second of this ride.

It’s unbelievable that going back 2 months ago we wouldn’t even be talking about the playoffs and right now if they miss it we are probably going to be a little disappointed.

I don’t think getting in at 9-3 is impossible. It’ll just depend.
Last year’s Alabama team got in with three losses. But that’s only because one of those was in the SEC Championship game. They only lost two regular season games. And then the decision to invite Bama faced criticism after they totally looked like they didn’t belong in their 38-3 playoff loss to IU.

so, no, I just can’t see any way 9-3 would do it for us.

A 9-3 Kentucky is not getting in. Im not sure a10-2 UK gets in either. We need to run the table to guarantee playoff spot.

10-2 UK gets in all day with our strength of schedule. Bama still has to go to LSU which is gonna knock one of them out of the race. If we go 10-2 we are an absolute lock for the playoff.

Yeah, our situation is actually very simple. And it’s not dependent on what anyone else does.

If we only lose 1 of those five, we’re in. If we lose 2, we’re out. Period.

We totally control our own destiny.

They won at Oklahoma the first round so they justified their inclusion IMO.

It came down to Miami vs notre dame actually. Miami justified that due to head to head and then made the title game.

On the post below yours, we need to root for kiffin and lsu to beat Bama and finish 10 and 2. We get in over a 10 and 2 lsu but not 10 and 2 Bama. We need Bama out.

It’s going to be extremely hard, but so was going 6-1. I could see us winning all of them and losing all of them. What a brutal schedule this year.

3 of those wins came from cupcakes and another by a mid UL team. I believe our record today is more legitimate.
I hope so, but feel like our only defense this season has been create turnovers, meaning we can't just straight up stop decent offenses. There is a lot of luck in that strategy that could run out. I kind of expect that to happen at UT but we will see.

Zero chance at 9-3. Especially not being ranked to begin the season. The "big name" teams bias will get the spots.
I did a simulator on ESPN a few days ago. If we only lose 1 more regular season game and then lose in the SEC game (total of 3 losses in that scenario), I think we still had over 90% odds to make the playoffs. Obviously can't lose 2 more regular season games.

I’m afraid people are under estimating the rest of our schedule. Winning at UT is going to be a monster task. Mizzou and Florida are tough and UL is a rivalry game. While it’s been amazing being 6-1 we could easily be 4-3. I don’t want to downplay our season so far, but we probably aren’t making the playoffs
