OT: Netflix, please don't 17 this up

I haven't read the source material (Screwtape and Mere Christianity, I have & got a lot out of) and I also haven't examined one up close, but I'm pretty sure lions can be female?

Unsolicited advice here: Check out The Space Trilogy novels by Lewis.

100% agree. Fantastic.

I get that, but there's no need to preshlt on it.

Why? They have

Jesus is a fairy tale just like this movie/book

you won’t always believe that, it’s just a matter of when you know he is who he is. In one instance it’ll be to late.

Much to Tolkien's disappointment, Lewis was Anglican. But certainly not a Calvinist.

Prediction...

It will be a 6/10. Critics will give it 9.5/10 and tell you why you're a piece of **** for not liking it.

Screwtape Letters. Unbelievably written. As a Christian, it strengthened my faith.

The most probable way for Netflix to 17 this up is to include a long sympathetic backstory for the witch

Supposedly test screenings are not going well and people at Netflix hate it.

Narnia: The Magician's Nephew In Trouble? New Report Claims "Everyone At Netflix Thinks [It's] Awful"

The first trailer for Narnia: The Magician's Nephew seemed to go over well enough, but there are rumors of behind-the-scenes clashes between director Greta Gerwig and Netflix...

Not sure if that site is credible or not or whether people at Netflix hating it means much for predicting how actual Narnia/CS Lewis fans will like it. Maybe they hate it for the very reasons Narnia/CS Lewis fans will like it.
