We either have really bad luck at a coin toss or just rollover and let other side decide. Neither would suprise me.

I want to think that it is very much done intentionally now to keep a schedule that has 7 home and 5 away games each year due to the 9-game SEC schedule.

If the current schedule 5 home 4 away conference schedule holds to the same rotation this evens it out. 2030 we will have 5 P4 home games and 5 P4 road games (Ok state away, 4 SEC away). Its why we canceled the Texas Tech series because the schedules in 2028 and 2029 would have had 8 home games one year and 6 the next. That series had Tech coming to us first.

This OK State series replaces the Washington State home and home we had scheduled at one point.

I find it odd too, and it is not just a recent thing. The only series with a P5 team that we have played at home first was Texas in 1991-1992 and West Virginia in 2006-2007. So that is twice in 40 years. Hell, we played at Baylor in the mid 90's and never got a return game.

Who is dropping? I never saw that the P4 requirement had been removed for SEC teams. It’s a league requirement for each team to schedule one every year, until it isn’t.

Welcome to Stillwater. It is the armpit of America. My experience there was a few years back so maybe they have upgraded since then. The game traffic situation was the worst of any venue. The stadium has minimal parking next to it so visitors just have to scrounge around for a spot. Got back from the game and found the campus police had left a ticket on my car for improper parking even though there was hundreds of cars parked on the same street and our car didn't pose any danger to traffic. It was a sold out game day. Our motel was the pits, the clerk was behind bullet proof glass and my wife swears there was something small moving under the sheets. We left and found a hotel in Oklahoma City. BTW, we loss to OSU too.

Everyone still has to play 1 OOC P4 game. These will be our 1 P4 game.

Plan a dove hunt since that’s the second weekend of the season. Dove hunting in the Midwest is absolutely worth a trip to also see a football game.

Remember we have to get these schools to come to BFE Starkville too. This is a good series for us. As all our non-conference P4 series have been. That’s one thing Byrne, Stricklin , Cohen & Selmon have all done well.

Sorry to report, in my 4 years as an OK State student, I never once got free queso. But definitely go to Eskimo Joe's for the cheese fries.

I would highly recommend the trip to Stillwater. I thoroughly enjoyed my years at OK State. The town is neat with losts of food and bar options. There are a lot of similarities between the Bulldogs and the Pokes.
