I like the bye before Minnesota. That will be closer than last year and Northwestern is just gonna be tough at home. Maybe the new stadium won't be the curse the old one seemed to be to us.

If you aren't ecstatic now, don't become so if Iowa runs the table. Big ten west teams aren't good enough to get any credit for beating them
It is still 11-1. That record is good enough to make the CFP no matter which P4 conference it is. AN 11-2 record is also a CFP team.

I was being sarcastic.

But yes, agree for the most part. 11-2 COULD become dicey, based on a couple questionable recent choices by the committee.

Just win baby

It’s ok. Better than it’s been, especially NW but let’s look at Minny and Wisconsin’s record at the end of the year.
Agree...Purdue just thrashed Minnesota and had 300 yards rushing. Wisconsin win vs Penn State not looking as great as once thought. They have a 2 game stretch before us of USC and UCLA....so we will see. Hawks have two weeks of prep for Minnesota. Hopefully we come out humming for another road win.

All true and the more games they play the more film our great coaches have to find ways to beat them.

Wash looked like crap but they had the 12th best rush defense (YPG) going into that game. Doesn’t need to be down played how well the run game looked against what should be/should’ve been a solid rush D.
Correct, I looked at their run stats prior to the game as I read they had a good run defense. Their stats against the 2 big then teams and Wash ST. were about 3 yards per carry which is really good. I still think the hawks may have made some blocking adjustments also.

I don't see these teams as a whole and think they're really good. Not at all. Some have improved, but overall the B1G West still seems pretty shaky.

It was really kind of shocking considering how pedestrian they've looked against P4 defenses. Hopefully it's a sign of real growth and not just an anomaly, because if they can run like that the rest of the year they aren't losing to any of the remaining teams on the schedule.

Pretty average group overall, but they're much better than anyone from the old East not named Indy or OSU. With the exception of Illinois and Minnesota, they all look improved over last year when these teams were all really bad. If I had to rank them I'd say:

Iowa
Northwestern
Nebraska
Wisconsin
Purdue
Minnesota
Illinois

I'm no acoustics expert, but I am pretty worried that it will be worse for us and visiting teams. not sure how many tickets visitors get, but we need to sap them up and come in force.

Northwestern has a good club. That said, the stadium (as spectacular as it is) may not provide a big home field advantage. On opening night against Penn St there were plenty of empty seats. I expect Iowa fans to fill a lot of those.
If Iowa is 7-1 heading into that game, I’d expect it to be sold out and it be ~70% Iowa fans. Regardless of where NU is record wise.

They do, but they travel to Oregon the week before. The Ducks may wake up for a game or two at home. If we beat NW we can pretty much knock them out of contention with them having @Oregon, then Iowa, then @OSU in a three week span. They'll have at least three conference losses at the end of that run.

If Moore is still out for Oregon they will not beat NW. Going to be interesting to see if they can rally the wagons now that they’re unranked. Raioli had statistically the worst game in the history of quarterbacks on Saturday. Worse than any Deacon Hill game.

didn't the other QB, Thomas (3rd string I am presuming) do pretty welll? I did not see the game, but just the box score afterwards was pretty good. so I would think he would be the QB unitil when/if Dante Moore comes back.

Have no idea what you're even talking about, pedophile.

Was just pointing out that I've been right all these years
If you have no proof he's a pedophile you shouldn't be accusing him of such.

It discredits the actual victims of pedophelia.

I don’t think they can run the table. I dunno which games are wins and losses but there are few losses in the horizon. Depending upon injuries and stuff

Zone blocking takes awhile for the line and backs to get on the same page..KM put on a master class on how to find the seams.. and the line was just dominating.
