If you aren't ecstatic now, don't become so if Iowa runs the table. Big ten west teams aren't good enough to get any credit for beating them

I like the bye before Minnesota. That will be closer than last year and Northwestern is just gonna be tough at home. Maybe the new stadium won't be the curse the old one seemed to be to us.

It is still 11-1. That record is good enough to make the CFP no matter which P4 conference it is. AN 11-2 record is also a CFP team.

I was being sarcastic.

But yes, agree for the most part. 11-2 COULD become dicey, based on a couple questionable recent choices by the committee.

Just win baby

It’s ok. Better than it’s been, especially NW but let’s look at Minny and Wisconsin’s record at the end of the year.
Agree...Purdue just thrashed Minnesota and had 300 yards rushing. Wisconsin win vs Penn State not looking as great as once thought. They have a 2 game stretch before us of USC and UCLA....so we will see. Hawks have two weeks of prep for Minnesota. Hopefully we come out humming for another road win.

All true and the more games they play the more film our great coaches have to find ways to beat them.

Wash looked like crap but they had the 12th best rush defense (YPG) going into that game. Doesn’t need to be down played how well the run game looked against what should be/should’ve been a solid rush D.
Correct, I looked at their run stats prior to the game as I read they had a good run defense. Their stats against the 2 big then teams and Wash ST. were about 3 yards per carry which is really good. I still think the hawks may have made some blocking adjustments also.

I don't see these teams as a whole and think they're really good. Not at all. Some have improved, but overall the B1G West still seems pretty shaky.

It was really kind of shocking considering how pedestrian they've looked against P4 defenses. Hopefully it's a sign of real growth and not just an anomaly, because if they can run like that the rest of the year they aren't losing to any of the remaining teams on the schedule.

Pretty average group overall, but they're much better than anyone from the old East not named Indy or OSU. With the exception of Illinois and Minnesota, they all look improved over last year when these teams were all really bad. If I had to rank them I'd say:

Iowa
Northwestern
Nebraska
Wisconsin
Purdue
Minnesota
Illinois
