Check out the Missouri score. I think they could be considered a “good” SEC team.
Baugh racked up a lot of yards vs 2 cupcakes & the 2 worst rushing defenses in the sec. Plus he got injured I think. But yeah Missouri is a good team. We were just so 1 dimensional with KT barely able to move & Fluff out. If they’re both healthy, today game is a different story. We might still lose but it would have been much closer.Missouri has held Baugh, the second coming of Earl Cambell, to 12 yards on 9 carries. Our line is better than we give them credit for. We didn't have any runners for them to block for today. Plenty of times Kamario had open field in front of him, but a body that wasn't working.
You're a retarded midget Que ear, not that there's anything wrong with thatNot being able to run against Bama's 5-man box told the entire story.
Lubby can be "addicted to speed" but he better get "addicted to winning in the trenches".
He came into the game completing 70% of his attempts. His injury was ultimately why he was so off today. His accuracy has GOT to improve. We've seen instances of that this year and it didn't hurt us in those games but it damn sure did today.
Our fanbase might be the worst in America. We don’t have the lines to play with good teams.
We could b!tch about going undefeated. We won’t, but we could. Our fanbase might be the worst in America.
We have already beaten 2 good teams, and won at a very tough road environment.
Agree. Big fast OL/DLNot being able to run against Bama's 5-man box told the entire story.

We don't really have a choice. He is Leach light. They believe they can scheme away talent deficiencies, and you can’t in this conference.
Correct, but.....We have never had the talent on the line to compete with Bama or the others haves. It’s not just a Lebby thing.
......we could certainly help ourselves more if Loadholt wasn't such an idiot. Running off James and Work was ridiculous.A guy that sucked for us is a starting OL at bama, one that bullied us today. Loadholt should have been fired last year

Sounds great and all........and very easy to say......but harder to execute.Agree. Big fast OL/DL
Don't care how it happens. I mean, it has happened in the past.Sounds great and all........and very easy to say......but harder to execute.
We'd be better off going the developmental and S&C route, rather than trying to compete with the blue bloods for the transfers.
Has it? I just asked AI how many times, dating back to 1990, that we've beaten a team that ended the season in the top 12 (roughly trying to gauge against what a playoff team would have been). I got this:Don't care how it happens. I mean, it has happened in the past.
Man. Some of ya’ll give me whiplash with how quickly and violently you go from optimism to pessimism. Not being able to run against Bama's 5-man box told the entire story.

By the definition apparently being used, we only have two good teams on our schedule, and I would agree we probably aren't good enough on the lines to beat them. 7 wins will be disappointing but ok if we are competitive in all the games. 8 wins would be solid. We'd be basically taking care of business against Oklahoma, vandy, Auburn and then getting one out of LSU and Ole Miss. I'm expecting 7 because I think injuries and lack of depth are going to do us in. I just hope they don't cost us any more than that.We don’t have the lines to play with good teams.
Sorry, “good” is vague. I meant the top 2-4 teams in our conference. You make a good point. After the majority of the people on this board predicted we would have four or fewer wins this season, now seven wins will be disappointing. I've been saying it for years. We could b!tch about going undefeated. We won’t, but we could.
We've never going to beat the top 2-4 teams in our conference with any regularity. We never have and we never will. That's an impossible standard to measure any Mississippi State team by.Sorry, “good” is vague. I meant the top 2-4 teams in our conference. You make a good point. Then what are we doing here? I mean I can go with the "any regularity" part, but if we aren't gunning for a playoff run every 5 years or so, I don't see the point of even playingWe've never going to beat the top 2-4 teams in our conference with any regularity. He is Leach light.
We should just drop football then. We have had 3 teams in the last 60 years that finished in the top 15 nationally. And suddenly we're supposed to be a playoff team every 5 years? Then what are we doing here? To be clear, disappointing from where we are now. If we only win 7, it will probably be because of injuries. I will be disappointed that we didn't stay healthier because we are good enough we should win 8. But I will not be unhappy with 7 wins. 7 wins shows we can win with Lebby and will be enough to convince people it's not a waste to keep giving to NIL. 7 wins should be good enough that we stop having to overpay because it will be clear we can win big the next couple of years with KT if we have some good players to go with him. After the majority of the people on this board predicted we would have four or fewer wins this season, now seven wins will be disappointing. I think we need 8-9, but there's a sliding scale, depending on how good we look. We really don't need to take any more perceived assskickings, even if it was closer than the score....the public don't careTo be clear, disappointing from where we are now. Yes, we could drop football and give it all to baseball. I believe we might see literal heads exploding on this board. Hell, we might see that just from one sarcastic comment about the topic. We should just drop football then. We have had 3 teams in the last 60 years that finished in the top 15 nationally. We should do the exact oppositeYes, we could drop football and give it all to baseball. I believe we might see literal heads exploding on this board. Hell, we might see that just from one sarcastic comment about the topic.
So pick up football and give it to baseball? Seems weird, but okay.We should do the exact opposite
8-9 would be a hell of a lot better. Really depends on how healthy we are or are not coming out of the bye week. If we don't have Jalen SMith for the rest of the season and Tillman and Bothwell are limited, that's pretty damaging and I don't think 7-5 would be underperforming. We'd have lost two starting lineman and one of our better DL's off an already thin defense. That's going to hurt most teams. Definitely a much harder story to sell recruits than 8 wins, but not a lost cause like the last two years were.I think we need 8-9, but there's a sliding scale, depending on how good we look. It's more than just recruits......it's our own players too. They have to be able to see a scenario that has us competing for the playoffs next season.8-9 would be a hell of a lot better.
