It’s going to be a fascinating game. I hope to see a lot of play action on first down out of the gates to loosen up the box.

14 is way higher than I thought it would be.

7 sounds about right.
If that spread was 7 points, I'd bet everything I own on the Buckeye's, and so would everyone, which is why it's double that.

We hung with some good teams last year, but we've been boatraced on multiple occasions too against top tier squads. Being in Kinnick will help, but our D-Line is applying little to no pass rush. That's a recipe for disaster with Jeremiah Smith & Co. coming to town.

Ohio State run game is not great. Fairly one dimensional. Ohio State is 78th in rushing offense

The defense we just faced is better than Ohio State's defense

The spread seems absurd to me. 14 points? Undefeated team, just beat Michigan at home, Best D in the fvcking country. Maybe I’m crazy but I’m betting big taking the points.

Don't bet everything you own on anything

Heading out early tomorrow for the game. The Mrs. and I will be in Kinnick loud and proud on Saturday but unfortunately I think Vegas is right on this one.

- I think Smith is too much for our secondary. Projecting at least two TD's for him.

- They return four O-linemen and our d-line has not put any pressure on the QB.

- 20 points won't be enough, I think OSU will put up at least 35.

- OSU has a better red zone offense than Michigan.

With all that said, if the defense stops their running game, puts pressure on Sayin, gets a special teams TD or pick six, wins the penalty battle, and has success running the ball, then maybe - just maybe the Hawks pull off a stunner. Oh, almost forgot, throw in a little Kinnick magic.

Regardless, we'll be there rooting on our Hawks.

We do not have the best D in the country. Fewest points allowed, but that's on the backs of shutting out NI and UNI. They're doing well with all the new faces, but were still a work in progress as last week showed. If were still 1st in the country in fewest average points/gm on Sunday, we'll be celebrating B1G time! Bend but don't break baby......

Good thing is Ohio States run game is not as good as Michigan's. Bad news is the pass game is better.

Phil is going to allow OSU to move between the 20’s and let it all come down to red-zone D and not give up the big play. More field goals than touchdowns hopefully.

Only way it works is if we can hold long scoring drives running the ball and eating clock…..and a turnover and/or special teams play.

Yep. Like Klatt I believe said yesterday, play the pass, (extra Db coverage on Smith) and force them to run the ball against a light box. Even if they have some success running, make them drive the field mostly running the ball, and using clock. Shorten the game. The one thing they CAN'T do is what Illinois did and try to play man against Smith. He had one TD in each game and FOUR against Illinois. You have no chance in a game like that.

If you're thinking of taking a shot at Iowa winning the game, I'd suggest taking Iowa to win by 1-6 +900, rather than +455 on the moneyline.

To me, that's the best performing bet (vs the payout) on the board for this game
