OSU pass game is insanely good. Hawkeye defense will need to get pressure on Sayin or it’s a long night at Kinnick.
OSU run D leaves a lot to be desired. Texas and Illinois both ran the ball well against them.
Gameplan should be heavy run and short passes to limit possessions. Hopefully get a ST score. And maybe get a TO or 2.
With the spread at 15 and the over under around 44, sports books think it’s going to be a 30-14 type score
Absolutely. If you get a chance to catch them…you do it. Looking forward to being there and witnessing another W first hand. Like Phil said at the beginning of the year…there’s something special about this team. You can just feel it.
iowa should just look ahead and prep for washington. also get the team to start resting up for the friday road game that will start after most people in iowa are already in bed
Illinois looked pretty decent on offense. OSU certainly gave up a bunch on the ground....hopefully we can do the same thing on offense but it we require a hell of a defensive effort as OSU shredded Illinois and their passing game looked elite. Going to be a hell of a test for Phil and the boys and I am sure he will have them ready!
I overreact at times, but I hope Brown is ok. Even with that great throw and catch at the end, he really got his “bell rung” on that previous play. Hope he is ok.
OSU is very good and loaded with insane talent, per usual, but that line seems a bit high with the game in Iowa City and knowing how KF likes to drag other teams down in the mud with his own team.

I watched a fair amount of Illinois at Ohio St during the 20th day of rain in the Noah era of the Midwest and Illinois pass defense didnt look strong but they were pretty strong against the run not giving up huge runs.
Illinois qb is experienced an a pretty good passer and runner and they have some really good receivers and Illinois avged 6 yards per carry running the ball so maybe OSU is not good against the run or Illinois can really run the ball
I think it will be a pretty tough game for Iowa at Illinois but it is a long ways off too.
It's an 8 oclock start on a Friday night at Washington, that's basically a high school game time in Iowa.
Would guess it will be a different gameplan against OSU. Michigan's QB had shown accuracy and decision making issues while being an insane athlete. D looked to be taking their chances with keeping him in the pocket with the idea that his issues would surface.
Sayin is an incredibly accurate passer while not being near the athlete or run threat. Would guess they'll try to heat him up like they did with Indiana last year. Very nearly worked......
