The younger generation needs to know the reasons for the old folks vitriol.

Officiating horsehittery is downstream of the real corruption.

This is an old score yet to be settled, and I have never forgotten what I have seen and experienced from this crimson cult. I could type paragraphs. Something has to give.

Every year we play these people, I patiently wait for God, Karma, or whatever supernatural force of righteousness you trust in to somehow right what's been wronged.

Two excerpts:

---------"It makes you wonder, though, what penalties are really meaningful? USC never really cratered following the Reggie Bush scandal. Urban Meyer went undefeated in the same year the program couldn’t go to a bowl. North Carolina is awaiting a verdict in its academic fraud case.

Don’t we all agree there will never be another SMU?

You might have noticed Alabama has thrived since looking over the brink. Tide football may be at the peak of its financial, athletic and marketing powers. Yeager reiterated the death penalty would have been applied if not for the efforts of Gene Marsh and Marie Robbins.

Marsh is a well-known attorney and Alabama law professor who back then was the school’s faculty athletics rep. Robbins was the school’s compliance director."

“Gene and Marie did everything they could, short of patrolling the campus with semi-automatic weapons,” Yeager said. “That, at the end of the day, is what saved them.”------------

I well remember a starting quarterback for MSU being suspended.....MIDSEASON.... for receiving....

Tires. Mounted, and apparently balanced.

The college football world we live in today owes that man a long overdue apology.

If only social media was around then.... the internet was getting off the ground. I remember the cast of characters.

The melrose hs coach pimping out Means and other players to bama and Kentucky. It was all over $159,000 for Alabama and I think even less for Kentucky. Pocket change now a days.

I recall the whole episode got Dubose and Hal Mummy fired. Then the memphian and TN super fan "TN Stud" posting stuff on the internet. He was a jock sniffer old man that was in deep with players too having parties at house and etc. he was throwing allegations on the internet at Memphian and Bama booster Logan Young. Then Logan young fell down his stairs and died shortly after the whole ncaa investigation.

It was Kevin fant with the tires. It was for the first game of the season too, vs Oregon in Eugene. I was sitting at a restaurant table in Eugene OR when an OU fan welcomed us to town and oh BTW, your qb isn't playing. It was a very Mississippi State football fan moment. Just perfect.

I just don’t think the SEC likes DeBoer. I don’t think the officiating BSery will be there like it used to be.
I hope you are right but I’ll believe it when I see it. I don’t remember the exact numbers but I read a couple of years ago that over 50 percent of the SEC referees are from the state of Alabama. Some of them are 100 percent dirty.

I heard Sherrill didn't tell Kyle that Fant didn't make the trip until right before kickoff.

Seems like something you'd like to know a bit ahead of time**

I must've been at the same restaurant talking to the same duck fan. He was well rehearsed.

Hard to imagine you're gonna start a guy and don't tell him until it's gametime, especially a RSFr on the road. But Jackie has more rings than I do so what do I know
That's what I thought. But maybe Jackie was hoping they would work something out... or maybe he wanted York to get a little sleep the night before the game.

Technically that occured in the preseason. Like on Thursday of the preseason but preseason nonetheless.

I allegedly have an uncle who allegedly played at alabummer and in the super bowl. He has allegedly told us many times how he allegedly got money, a car, and other stuff while at alabummer allegedly. So it has allegedly been happening for a long time since I am 62.

I don’t remember which Bama coach it was or which bama game it was. But I have heard this from multiple sources. That Bama coach was via open microphone caught yelling at a official from the sideline during a game “gosh darn it I’ve got Kenny Stabler’s cousin out there officiating and I can’t get a darn call to go my way”.
