I cheer for Iowa several times a year.

When I bet on them. Like yesterday. If I lose my bet, it doesn't bother me as it's Iowa. But they usually cover when I bet on them. Well coached team.

Nebraska has more history with Minnesota but the longest standing rivalry in college football is Minnesota/Wisconsin.

I think most Iowa fans would prefer scheduling a higher caliber or historic opponent on black Friday. Oregon, Wisconsin etc. This series has been pretty one sided and predictable.

But it’s the further away for each team to travel when everyone else play closer to home on Black Friday only except would be Rutgers and MSU and neither had a choice with last stick in the draw.

How many of the games weren’t competitive besides last year? When Iowa state won several games in a row did they start saying it would be nice to have another instate rival like northern Iowa or Iowa western. OU beat us for a lot of years straight and we turned the tide. Same will happen with you numbnuts one of these days . Neither of us will win the conference nor a playoff game this year so what’s it matter what bowl game you go to ?

Isn't crazy that Iowa has won 10 of the last 11 yet Nebraska travels better, has better home attendance, makes much more money and the media is always wondering when Nebraska will be back. Never heard that said about Iowa. Nebraska has been the bottom of the barrel but still has a much better chance to be nationally relevant at some point because of the money, fan base, history.
