Missouri’s points all came when they got a short field.
ETA: they might have had one drive. Point stands.

We did drop 2 picks on the next to last drive last night. One issue I have with the defense is we’ve played 4 games and gotten only 2 turnovers. Both absolute gifts from the South Carolina QB. On the other hand, we’ve only turned the ball over 3 times ourselves.
A pick 6 in that situation would have blown the roof off of DWS.
Arnette is a good DC. We have some players on D, but I don't think many DC's could do as well with our limitations on the DL.Missouri’s points all came when they got a short field.

That was from the Banks pick 6 against Florida. We just never rebuilt.Sir, there is no roof.
I was right there on that long pass facemask. Looked like his hand just caught it as he’s bringing it over to make the play. Those are unfortunate, but they happen sometimes. I didn’t really think it was a dumb grab or anything. The only negatives about the D at all were the dropped INT’s, dead-ball penalties (facemask after the long pass to Lee), and Arnett’s patented 3rd down blitz that gets nowhere close, leading to a long TD in the 4th.
Otherwise, they played very well again, and fundamentally sound.
One was dropped by Kelly Jones who has a cast. The other should have been caught and another was overturned. We did drop 2 picks on the next to last drive last night.
League just preparing you for when they send in the Ken Williamson officiating crew for the bama game.It already does not help to have 2 weeks in a row and phantom hands to face being called.
Good point about jones. Forgot about that. The one that was overturned was the correct call. One was dropped by Kelly Jones who has a cast. The other should have been caught and another was overturned.
and had a linebacker pick in the SC game that got nullefied on a penalty. We did drop 2 picks on the next to last drive last night.
Yep. Anybody who is hoping for a dominating defense needs to give it up. We don’t have the horses for that. Arnett is using the players we have to put us in the best chance to win.Arnett won that game for us last night. We don't win that one if he's not here.
I totally agree! Arnett has done a great job with what we have on defense. We are playing hard every single down and that comes from who Arnett is all about.I was afraid that the short field at the end of the game was going to bite us too. I love Pulliam, but that was a hell of a time to yank a 30 yarder off the side of his foot.
As far as the defense goes, I there's plenty to gripe about, but I feel like they're doing a pretty good job with what they have to work with. After watching the last two weeks, the big disadvantage that we have is as clear as day, and that is that we flat out do not have an athletic pass rusher on the edge like a lot of these teams. We've got to fix that this offseason. That said, our run defense has been playing lights out, our tacking is great, and every team in the country wishes that they had a corner like Jones.
I don't have high expectations against teams like Bama, but I think we have the ability to win a big game this year. It's just going to take a MUCH cleaner game than we've seen the last two weeks. Also, I'm trying not to dwell on it, but that end of the 1st half cluster just cannot happen. Ever
