Not sure how much blame I should lay at his feet.

I'll take that as a Nay.Take a break from the message board, Dude.
Nah. Hank isn't afraid of contact. I will say today was the first time he looked truly rattled by the pressure from an opposing defense, so hopefully that doesn't become PTSD for him.Not sure how much blame I should lay at his feet.

Fify for accuracy.........Deacon Hill was possibly the least athletic QB I have seen at that level of football. Hank is a much better option.
YUP!Not sure how much blame I should lay at his feet.

You are blaming Hank for what right after the Mich game? I dont understand if you are bagging on Hank after that game. The Petras feeling is Petras did above avg in 2020 once he got a couple of OLinemen back from injury, the hawks were playing about as well as any most teams the final 6 games of 2020. 2021, he played well, won at ISU, helped win the Penn STate and a bunch of other games. But in 2021 and 2022 it became apparent our OLine play was getting really poor so opposing coaches took away the run and smashed Petras. But he still won a bunch of games at QB. YEs, it looked like he got gun shy dropping back. Not sure how much blame I should lay at his feet.

I feel like Hank at his best would be another Jake Rudock.Deacon Hill, Cade and Spencer Petras also had to deal with Brian Ferentz. Hank is better than all of them but I’d take every starter that has taken significant snaps, as the named starter going into a season, in Kirk’s tenure over Hank (except for maybe Jake Christensen).
If Hank and Heck are above avg qbs the rest of the season and with Bessinger (sp?) in the wings and our 3rd stringer I dont think the hawks need to spend money on a QB, unless there is a really very good proven QB who wants to play here. And dont laugh because a lot of players would really love to play for Kirk.Petras 2.0…need to go to the portal for next season. The more concerning thing is the run game.
Yep, Petras was the main qb that won 24 out of 33 games in his 3 years as the main starter, he came in at halftime of that NEbby game and threw it well and played well. He wasnt great, sometimes above average, mostly average but was under duress much of his time in the pocket.Hank has a lot of winning to do to catch Petras
Pass blocking is really good play to play but not much push and punch with run blocking now.Lets wait until Friday, hopefull he is physically and mentally ready to go. Personally I think the OL needs more "fixing" than our qb situation.
If you had his line , you would never be sober.No. Petras was anxious as hell. He needed to smoke a big doobie before games to calm down
