For sure. The below "catch" was on a third down play which resulted in a first down to keep alive a TD drive which would clinch the win. It was in 2003 and the conference started the replay pilot program in 2004. We were naive to think replay would level the playing field. Just ask WMU.

I just watched the video on BTN that was used to justify the call. The refs got it sooooo wrong. One ref says that #18 for WMU was clearly out of bounds bounds when he initiated the jump where he touched the ball. That was their reason. Look at the video. He was almost a yard IN bounds. The idiot refs thought the white border was out of bounds when it is within the endzone. You can clearly see the border in the wide shot and the endzone pylons on the outside of the white border. End of story. The B1G's own video shows that they blew the call.

I purposely avoided the BTN as to not hear those groveling scUM apologist talking heads making sh$$ up to defend that crap, overrated school.

Yes to the first. Also a number of 1st down conversions for UM with the refs walking in clearly crooked lines from where the ball was initially spotted. And a blatant (uncalled) block in the back on the kickoff that started the UM winning drive which sprung the runner.

That being said, the 2 seconds added on - though often commented on here - was actually not an unresonable action by the refs. It's actually pretty common for them to add back a few seconds after a TO is called if the stoppage of the clock was slow. I actually think PSU fans complaining about the 2 seconds detracts from the many legit complaints about how that game was officiated in Michigan's favor.

Of note, the Avant toe-heel that was called incorrectly since he was OOB was not even reviewed let alone overturned as it should have been.

I doubt it gets any traction, but the MAC is doing the right thing here. The Big Ten "explanation" was completely bogus.
WMU got jobbed, and they owe it to their membership to do the right thing - which they are now doing.
Because this was on the last play of the game, it IS a reversible error. Not that they should get hopeful.

Finally! I really thought Western Michigan was just going to lie down and take it. Although Michigan being stripped of its win would negatively impact PSU (strength of schedule, conference reputation), I am just so sick of Michigan getting away with this nonsense. I hope every team that gets screwed by the referines going forward sues the absolute f#[% out of the Big Ten and Michigan.

We've been hosed so many times vs Michigan. I remember in Franklin's 1st or 2nd year playing at Ann Arbor the questionable offsides call on an onside kick against us. Plus there was a Mich scoop and score on a pass that was obvious to everyone watching had hit the ground, but had to go to review before it was changed.
