No upsets this week, under dogs getting pimp slapped, Bandys has played KM close before but doubt that happens Friday. If your a gamer like me I can’t think of a game of interest in the area m that could go either way. I’m still laughing at yall that picked against ole East Burke this past Friday, JK.

I hate going to North Lincoln for games. Marvel parking setup with all the mazes of concrete. And then you got horrible visitor side seating
So many more reasons, but those are good, too.

A few years back, after our stands were past full...they denied entry to my daughter on their side, because "she was from LINCOLNTON"... I went over...asked them how they determined this, as she was wearing no black or gold, nor was her classmate, who was denied entry as well. Then, I figured it out quickly. My daughter was a blonde gal, her friend was a "non-blonde" ... thats how they knew, lol. I was threatened by a Sheriff's Deputy with arrest, but loudly exposed their misstep... They then overrode the Principal, and let the girls in. Then, they hadda let a bunch of other Wolves in as well ... tough night all around that night for the Knights, lol.

That is crazy. But I guess when they built the school they started out 1A with far away teams that prob barely had any guest in the visitors section. They oughta have at least 3 or 4 more rows built on somehow. I think Hibirtiens visitors section is smaller LOL.

Of course yall know who has the ultimate monster size visitors section in all western NC. - East Burke

Yes, and while we're airing grievances about North Lincolnton, I'd just like to say that I too was at a game there not too many years ago and was a little nervous about the excitement on the field. I went down to concessions and asked if I could get a mixed drink, to which I was gruffly told that they didn't serve liquor there, that I could find that in Lincolnton. Also asked "Would a Dos Equis be out of line? Way-Way-Way out of line!" they said.
I'm starting to wonder if they don't like us, heck, we're just like they are! Well, maybe not. Anyway they seem to be a little short on brotherly love. End of story.:)

Ole hush!…you’ve never sat in anybody’s stands!

I can see it now…AMD wandering around out in the parking lot like a rat looking for cheese!😂

Heck!…Just walk toward the lights!

I’ve always enjoyed going to Pumpkin Center…it’s close to BBQ King!😜

Kings Mountain at Bandys: The Mountaineers are coming off a big win against Burns, but that was Cleveland County football in which their in-county rivalries are hard to predict. KM should win this one by 10 but in no way should they sleep on the Trojans.

Hickory at Bunker Hill: The Bears take their first loss of the new season; Tornadoes by 28.

East Lincoln at Newton-Conover: Some of us wonder how good the Red Devils really are after losing by 3 scores to Alexander Central in game 1…They will really have to make an extraordinary effort to stay in the game. Mustangs by 17.

Foard at West Iredell: The poster Green Gray and Gold said the Warriors are for real, and I believe him. West by 24.

Maiden at North Lincoln: Flyrod’s game of the week. Some are likely thinking. Nah, this will not be close, and North cannot defend the pass. They’re probably right.
Wondered why he choose this one as game of the week?
Guessing, I’d think because of the slight chance the Blue Devils were so hungry for a win this past Friday, that they put a lot of effort and emotion into the Reynolds matchup, which could equate to them playing flat. Don’t look for it, but we’ll find out. Blue Devils by 20.
——————————
Non-conference games

St. Stephens at Hibriten: Saint is 0-2 having lost both games by a combined total of only 5 points. This week is different. They will have to reach way down to keep this on from getting ugly. Panthers by 21.

Stuart Cramer at Bessemer City:Not much to say Cramer by 30.

Cherryville at Lincolnton: Have a friend who is a produce manager at one of the supermarkets, here. Saturday, he told me about having a discussion with a friend from Cherryville. He went on to say this friend knows football and said that Cherryville is pretty good; and in spite of the two teams they have played and to whom they put up big numbers against, that the Wolves would have difficulty with their (Cherryville’s) offense.
Last year we beat them 28-0…I want to think we could do it again, but I’ve had many surprises over the years, some bad and some good. Lincolnton can not take them lightly. Wolves by 20.

*Picks are in bold.

Side Note: oh, I almost forgot to tell you, Maiden poster amaidendevil, has been banned from this week’s game at North Lincoln. When ask why, a spokesperson said and I quote “ because he runs around in the parking lot like a rat looking for cheese.”

Great commentary. I just feel the winners will score more on these underdogs. Foard score may be bout right. Foard played a good game and was slightly better on paper and in overall tallent against EB, they just fought hard and captitalized on a couple turnovers. Foard may play better against WI than EB did.

Alexander shouldn't be too bad. Hickory is just that good and they stomped em' AC was just well rounded enough to put it on Newton like they did. I like watching the Alexander transfer to EB. He is and will be a big help to the Cavs.

Cramer is actually off this week. However I can only hope the score against BC is within 30. These 35 and 42 to nothing scores at halftime are getting old 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I agree, no offense to the North Lincoln fans on here but the parking is insane and that visitor side is just not to my liking, I've never been a fan of the stadium itself honestly, nice turf though.

They put more thought into the Mercedes/Hummer parking section than into the stadium at all, lol. And if memory serves, attendance lines were the biggest factor. As long as those meandered to and from the "right" communities, all was well. They would have sat on buckets...

Maiden HS, I believe, is a near copy of NL, with a number of non-rushed improvements. And an emphasis on a quality sports complex.

East Burke stadium is simply amazing. I miss going there. On our last visit, we decided to sit on the Home side to be closer to civilization. Our particular spot happened to be in front of the "sound porch". We had to find a spot beside it instead because of the sheer volume and acoustic energy coming off those huge speakers. Vast. Good concessions. No maze parking.

Whoever thought and planned that parking arrangement must have been the same person that put the single wire between ships in WWII to keep the female and male squirells apart.

EB is definetly a classy giant area with plenty of parking and of course a TON of places to park some butt cheeks. Especially after the Draughn split which made more room. NL is a near copy but I like Maiden stadium set up alittle better. Side note last time EB packed the house with people is the 2007 Independence playoff game with Shatley on the team. Prob some of yall reading this went to that game that night. Ton of outsiders coming to watch cause theyre team was out.

I'm not sure what ya'lls take on this is and prob none since ya'll dont live in area or most of ya dont but people on here and on street would complain that they didnt need 2 new high schools in Burke county. Freedom DEFINETLY needed Patton to be built, they were bottle necked up but they say EB woulda been fine. I beg to differ though cause you dont know or foresee if a community will grow or not and plus my goodness with the low numbers on both side lines of EB and Draugn that'd been prime time for guys to get playing time wereas in our day alot of boys didnt touch the field unless they were up by 5 scores and game decided. If I was gonna be super practtical I woulda just had Patton built bigger and had them take on Drexel kids and theyre be 3 big high schools in the county I mean I dunno lol. Draughn is pretty much Valdese HS all over again. Thats were my boys will go one day.
