Cmon. you know what I mean. Several of "the old guard" were either injured or played hardly at all in the games. One of the women on the roster had been out pretty much the entire season before the Olympics. What was Taurasi and Griners contribution other then to say "she's a 6 time gold medal winner". Pretty sure they could have filled the roster quite nicely with a few younger players and still won the gold. Several of DT's former team mates had been asking her why she was still playing at 42. Wouldn't really surprise me if being the only female basketball player to have 6 gold medals was part of that.
If I was stuck in a minimum wage job all those years...lol.

Supposedly "the plan" according to Stewie and Phee when they started this sideshow was to allow players to make real money without having to go overseas to get paid. All the factors mentioned will make it hard to continue, plus whatever networks or entities that are funding it probably aren't getting the return they'd hoped for.
Indeed, the players do in fact make "real money" - something like $100K for just 8 weeks of work!

Speaking of answering things, senility and dementia....

"Legend," you somehow have forgotten to post your list of things Caitlin gets away with that no one else in the league does. We all have been waiting for your list since Sunday, August 9!!!

You should post that list NOW before you forget again!

I am confident that a poster like yourself who is never wrong (in your senile, mentally ill mind) & who is always correcting everyone will have that LIST posted shortly!!!

In case people forgot, "Legend" posted what follows on Aug 9; @huntinghawk and @Hawk48 then nailed it when they said "Legend" is the biggest clown on these forums. Can you imagine subscribing to Hawkeye Report and paying to interact with "Legend" in the Lounge? LOL

I swear some of these folks have erased Clark’s rookie year from existence.
They'd certainly like to............

I know Legend would, so he wouldn't have to keep rolling his eyes at the excessive Caitlin Clark glazing on a daily basis that triggers him to post/vent about it solely on this message board.

And her team was not good. They got hot in August when she started playing her best…yet she was crowned the MVP before the season started….kind of my point.

Blatantly false, as most of your posts are.

Phee was leading the MVP race until she got injured.

The irony of "Legend" telling anyone that their post is blatantly false.

Would you guys consider "Legend's" Aug 9 post, where he said Caitlin gets away with things no one else in the league would get away with, blatantly false?

It's been 3 weeks and we still don't have "Legend's" list of things CC gets away with that no one else in the league gets away with!

She [Caitlin Clark] gets technicals that no one else in the league would get.

She [Caitlin Clark] also gets away with things no one else in the league would get away with.

Like what? Are you being serious

Go easy there on the "Sultan of Spin" lol.

Things as in plural? Go ahead and list them for those of us not as gifted and smart as you.

Like WHAT exactly? This should be entertaining......

Whose the bigger clown? Legend or BigZ? They really believe she's treated fair.

And these are people who vote for W Awards?

Lolololol, so Clark is third in the league in scoring, (second amongst guards) first in the league in assists, and has already broken the record as the ONLY player in league history to score 800+ points and 300+ assists in the same season, BUT, you can't possibly consider her a s a top 4 guard in the league? All this nonsense posted daily by "the media" and yet people here think there's no "agenda" against Clark in giving her, her due? Really?

Do they call traveling in that league because if they do, Miles will have a tough time.
I caught a little bit of MN vs ATL and Miles is so casual about carrying the ball I think it somehow fakes out the refs.

She was dribbling in the corner when she just pinned the ball against her hip for a full count before she let the ball fall again. Maddening, I say!

I wonder what the rotations will look like. Will they start the best player at each position or will they keep combinations together that have played together in the past, like gray, Wilson, young, and plum. Based on merit, I would start Wilson, cc, Paige, young, and Stewart. But I could see them starting gray, young, plum, Wilson, Stewart.
Well damn it. Aja just pulled out of FIBA to rest for the rest of the season. Plum also pulled out as she’s done for the WNBA season.

Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen are the replacements. Noticeable downgrade there.

Going to be guard heavy lineups with Boston’s injury issue. Stewart, Boston, Reese, and Iriafen are the only players over 6’2”.

Aja is obviously a huge loss, but I like Citron's game better than Plum's for international play.

Honestly suprised more stars don't opt out. It's scheduled right in the home stretch of the season. Could you imagine the NFL or MLB stopping the season for 3 weeks to have an international tournament right before the playoffs? Can't imagine too many stars would be playing in it.
