It was actually covered in the KY court case. He (and the others on the list) had to pay back any money they received from contracts signed over the summer. It was part of the TRO ruling that players believing they had exhausted their eligibility only entered into those contracts because they believed they could no longer play in college.See some trolls online saying Mitchell won't be eligible do to the Big10 ruling and that the SEC is following the train.

The next several weeks could get pretty interesting. Sure hope his Kentucky court ruling holds up.It was actually covered in the KY court case. He (and the others on the list) had to pay back any money they received from contracts signed over the summer. It was part of the TRO ruling that players believing they had exhausted their eligibility only entered into those contracts because they believed their could no longer play in college.
Now whether or not the Kentucky ruling stands on appeal is still a question. But legally the SEC will have a hard time enforcing it with most courts ruling in favor of the players at this point.
That's what doesn't make any sense, the COVID years got an extra year and the classes from 2023 and on will get it but they try and cut out 2022 from getting it. With the NCAA going for the 5 in 5 they should have just automatically granted it for the eligible kids from the 2022 class.Hard to say for sure, but I'm fairly confidant he will be eligible. The NCAA's argument seems arbitrary and doesn't make a whole lot of sense, Giving everyone BUT this class an extra year doesn't seem to have any logic behind it.
I don’t know what kind of contract he hadPeople are annoyed at LSU taking guys out of NFL training camps. Was Mitchell even on a Summer League team?
The ACC doesn't have a rule like the SEC does.UofL fans didn't seem to have an issue with intraconference transfers when Seth Trimble committed to them...
If your talking about the transfer in conference, that will be beat in courtThe ACC doesn't have a rule like the SEC does.
Mitchell and Afari ineligible if this is enforced.
You know nothing. This will be decided in courts, like everybody else is saying.Like I just said….
ya, because the SEC is just sooo good to the University of Kentucky.Getting in a legal battle with the SEC seems like a terrible idea.
You wouldn't get one thing done, and fit right in.I wonder if I could get elected to office running on a platform of "The NCAA are morons, let's fix this mess:"
- 4 years of eligibility per student athlete
- your ineligible if you've played pro anywhere
- only 1 free transfer, all additional transfers require a mandatory season of ineligibility
- NIL salary cap of $15 million per sports program
- transfer fees where schools pay a percentage to the school they are taking the transfer from
- 64 team NCAA tournament, no more Final Fours in Football stadiums
- all conferences are reset to their membership circa the year 2000, with strict limits on all future realignment moves
- all conferences must be regional
Where does it end?I don't think it will matter. These players can sue the conferences just like the NCAA. Nobody seems to have any teeth for rules when it comes to NIL and the wildness that comes from it.
If the NCAA and the Conferences lose in court and decide to enforce their rules anyway, we'll have to get the popcorn going. It will be quite a show.Where does it end?
Sue the NCAA- win. Then the conferences put up roadblocks.
Sue the conference- win. But if conferences hold the schools to their requirement, what does the player do?
Schools could easily fear repercussions.
Players are not going to sue the school??
He did not sign it! According to sources. TIFWIW.See some trolls online saying Mitchell won't be eligible do to the Big10 ruling and that the SEC is following the train.

Yes, but apparently he didn’t sign his E10 contract. That’s a big hurdle cleared if true.People are annoyed at LSU taking guys out of NFL training camps. Was Mitchell even on a Summer League team?
Mitchell and Afari ineligible if this is enforced.
Screw the SEC they have been biased against us for years. Take them on.Getting in a legal battle with the SEC seems like a terrible idea.
