With week 1 over and we get a look at what teams look like - even tho there’s still a long way to go, who are the contenders?

My initial list:

East:
Tarboro
Warren County (according to HSOT they will win the east)
Edenton Homes
East Bladen

West:
Starmount
Corvian
Mitchell
East Wilkes
Murphy

What’s everyone else’s thoughts?

I agree with your west you can never count out Murphy.

I want to see what they look like with Clem at full strength before I write them off.

I agree with your list. I think Mitchell is gonna make some noise in the West come playoff time also. And I'm sure some will probably disagree, but I think the East will be competitive this year. Highschool ot picked Warren county to beat Tarboro.
