Kids cramped “back in the day”.Cramping happens at all levels of football the 1st week. These kids are not put through the same conditioning as back in the day. There are no more 2 a days heavy conditioning practices any more. That includes college and the nfl. Where the same thing will happen week 1

Yes, but last night it was kids going down every other play in some games.Some teams have mastered the art of having kids go down with a "cramp" as a way to garner an additional timeout (or two).

1996 opening game we played at Glenbard West in mid afternoon it was 90 degrees and humid, 2 kids total between the teams got cramps, today that would be 3.5 hour game with all the stoppages for cramps.Not at all played in early 2000s . Coached until 2016

Yes, it 100% does. .I sometimes wonder if all these energy drinks have anything to do with it. No idea if it does. But I see a ton of athletes drinking them like water. Not on the sidelines of course, but during the day and morning.
