Dallas played good defense tonight.
Just seemed a step slow all night. Didn’t take a lot of bad or rushed shots. Got swatted a few times by their big, which did seem to affect her a bit.
How far the Fever go is going to be dependent on how they rebound/not give up 2nd shots. Right now it is horrendous.
Most were were good. Missed a couple open 3s. Had her shot swatted at least three times when she tried to drive into the paint.
Had one bad "heat check" in the 4th
Something the Fever are incapable of doing. It’s a shame really, with just a middle of the pack defense they’re the best team in the league.
It looks like Arike blowing up in the second half was a big reason for the Wings win. Shepard only had about 4 points in the second half, but she handed the baton to Arike.

Even if they could find a better option, they're pretty tied to that contract now. In games where everyone is clicking her shooting three's looks good. When they're not shooting well they need her on the inside to rebound. I still think they need a true 5 and she'd be a really solid 4, but I think with her contract, if they keep Mitchell, and what they'll have to pay Clark, their only shot is to draft a really good post as a rookie next season, maybe from over seas. Lots of other teams seem to have figured that out.
So when does Enes Kanter Freedom get to join the league?
