Dude... What connection are you trying to make? You quoted me without adding anything as if we were that close to understanding each other that it would be obvious. You're not making any sense. You're not yourself, KD. It's kind of alarming.

I didn't make it up. It's well a well known distinction. I'm applying a textbook definition of bigotry to what mac has said and doing so calmly, logically, and clearly.

He doesn't think Muslims should be allowed to hold political office. Why? Because they are Muslim. That is anti-American, anti-Christian, and bigoted. Period.

Are you actually keeping up with everything in this thread? It seems like you're just swooping in and addressing single posts in a vacuum because you're taking things way out of context and going in really odd directions. It's going to sound condescending if I ask if you're okay, but wow, KD, you are not yourself
Funny how your texts get personal when I point out one of your many glaring inconsistencies. You ask for a direct quote, I provide it, and you attempt to deflect with a snide, personal remark. A few days ago I was drunk, now I’m “not myself”. Your tactics are as transparent as they are pathetic.
One minute you’re spouting Christian platitudes about “leading with love” ( does Hallmark know about you?), the next the same self righteous pricktitude we’ve come to expect.

Are you okay? is the question. I mean you’re a teacher right? Beginning of a new year and all? Getting those routines down, setting that tone.
What are the students doing while you spend half the workday frittering about on your phone?
I don’t pay taxes in NC thankfully but I wonder if the others on this board ever wonder how their tax $ are being spent. I’d be concerned. Either you have the longest planning period ever, or there’s considerable time wasting here.
I’m quite alright, but thanks for your concern.
I would advise from here on out, you try to keep this civil.

I was in middle school and high school in the '80s. We learned all of that in health class. What you are saying does not resemble any reality I experienced. I can say it 3 more times if you still don't get it, but I'd rather not
You’re lying as usual. Say it 100 times for all I care. You didn’t learn that anal sex was the primary transmitter of HIV at your Bum **** high school back in the 80s. No one believes you, except maybe Dirt who’s on a well earned sabbatical.

Why would I add anything? You asked for your exact quote. So I reposted that message ( exact quote) and your post asking for the quote. Was I supposed to add an emoji or something? I thought it was self explanatory but whatever.

We’ll try this later when you’re sober.

I've been completely sincere. I'm not going to put much effort into convincing you.

You seem very different. I don't understand what you're getting at in most of your posts over the last week or so. Glad to hear you're okay.

You're coming at me over my job. It's not because you are so worried about anyone's taxes. It's because you are deliberately trying to antagonize me and make veiled threats. Do you know what my specific job is? Do you know when school starts in my district? Am I in a classroom? Am I in administration? Am I on a traditional school calendar? Am I at an in-person school? Have I retired? Am I still full time? Have I been taking any time off? You don't know any of those things, and not by accident. Whether I've retired already or not, no one here will know until years later. Why? Well, the kind of person who would make veiled threats and insinuations about my job like you just did might also be the kind of person who will look up information on the retirement ceremony and find a list of retirees, and then narrow it down until they find me. Paranoid? Okay. Something someone who would hint at doxxing me at work might do? Yeah, I think so.

I've been completely civil. I'm not going to change a thing about how I've been posting recently.

Bigotry according to you. I’ve calmly explained my stance, but as long as you have your goggles on, you see only what you want to see. Your mind is made up.

Yes, I have an issue with a Muslim holding any political office in America. It’s proven correct when they’re also an admitted Socialist. Thats a scary combination. But very convenient of you to leave that part out.

Nope. Not self-explanatory. We struggle to see eye-to-eye on a good day. I don't know why you think anything between us would be self-explanatory.

I'm sober and there is nothing about my behavior here that would make anyone think otherwise. I think you know this, too, and you're just throwing an accusation back at me in retaliation for something I said a couple days ago. I'm in complete control of myself.

Complete and utter bull ****. You talk frequently about how demanding teaching is, yet spend half your time on your phone. Glad to have ya, wouldn’t be the same without ya.
Thing is, most of us arent being funded by the taxpayers, we’re in the private sector. Say with it me now, the private sector.
You have been better than usual ( low bar) but nowhere close to civil. When getting cornered in an argument and your last recourse is “ you’re crazy” or “ you’re drunk” chances are youre losing the argument.

I get it man. It seemed cool when Dirt Duck did it the other day, even said he hoped I “ had a good support network” and all that and I certainly wish him the same. I’m sure doom scrolling Far left websites all day will bring him nothing but serenity and prosperity but. This. Is. About. You.
Don’t pretend you’ve been “ nothing but civil”. You’re better than that.

listen up. I honestly couldn’t give a rat’s *** whether you’re still working or not. That’s yet another example of you turning the tables when you feel cornered. No one’s made “veiled threats”. This is about accountability.
You want to get personal, questioning my mental health, sending a Jewish poster anti Israel posts when the topic is completely unrelated, you may see yourself as a “ good person”. But for me the cherry on top was yesterday: we should all aspire to be more Christlike and “lean into love”. Do you even hear yourself?
Your posts seem to be mostly about gotcha moments and twisting others’ words around. Haven’t really felt the love yet.

So you want the moral privilege associated with being a teacher, and have attempted to shame anyone criticizing teachers’ unions for years, but now you’re saying you may not actually be a teacher but a vague some sort of autocrat, I meant educrat, but don’t worry about it cus you might actually be retired anyway, even though I’m pretty sure you’ve been pretending to be a teacher for a while anyway. It’s true we don’t know exactly what you do, but you’ve been giving us the impression there’s a classroom involved.

I may have let it slip that I have been a classroom teacher. I've been pretty deliberate about saying public school educator for some time. My point is you don't really have any clue what I do or what my schedule is. I won't remind you of what district I work in, but an awful lot of NC districts don't start until next week.

I have NO problem not wanting a Muslim as a Politician. None. It’s a big Hell NO if one is also a socialist. Nothing confusing about this take. I haven’t pushed back on anything. I’ve. Been. Very. Clear.
One being elected to office is a reflection of our decay, but an argument could be made for them by simply having a slogan “we can’t do worse.”

So no Muslims, period... with socialism [sic] being an additional objection. What was so convenient about my leaving out the socialist part before other than it being convenient for you to deflect with it?

I've been clear: that stance is bigoted according to every reasonable definition of bigotry; it is anti-American according to the US Constitution; it is anti-Christian according to the Bible.

What you haven't pushed back on is that your stance is anti-American or anti-Christian. You've only objected to your words being accurately labeled as bigotry.

Muslims have been functioning and contributing members of this country for about a century. There is no mistaking them for jihadists.

Nobody fairs well if they are judged only by the "antiquated moments" of their faith.

I know a fair bit about Islam but definitely not a whole lot-lot. That makes no difference, though. I don't have to understand people completely to support their rights.

Tens of thousands have been raped in the Uk by mostly Pakistani immigrants. They justified it by saying that the Koran treats infidel women as deserving of being raped. They do have rights, but the rest of the Uk have the right to not want any more immigrants from that part of the world if that’s what they decide. Thats how democracy works.

I'm really not interested in seguing into a discussion of how UK deals with immigration issues.

I read somewhere recently that within a few years (if not already), Islam will be the most practiced religion in the world. Well over a billion people. If the worst of them were really indicative of all Muslims, they'd have taken over everything already. The truth is, most of them are peaceful, contributing members of society. I think there are several prominent examples who put Christians to shame for better emulating Christ.
