Agreethis why i think a patch sponsor of the highest caliber can and should step up. it’s a far beetter and safer bet imo to tie up with iowa than one of usual suspects. iowa has a great combination of competency and respectability
An Iowa football jersay patch would be seen by a whole lot of TV viewers. Even when Iowa plays tough teams on the road most fans know there could be an upset and a very good game.this why i think a patch sponsor of the highest caliber can and should step up. it’s a far beetter and safer bet imo to tie up with iowa than one of usual suspects. iowa has a great combination of competency and respectability
I sort of thought the John Deere thing on the field was a little bit pandering to farmers or something. Not sure we need money from sponsors. Might be a sellout situationAn Iowa football jersay patch would be seen by a whole lot of TV viewers. You do know how much money the top dog teams are bringing in the pay players and the money donated to those teams.I sort of thought the John Deere thing on the field was a little bit pandering to farmers or something. Not sure we need money from sponsors. Might be a sellout situation
Yes and I hate it and am against it, with the current situation. I am 100% for making money for your name image and likeness. Sell shirts and stickers and collectible cards. Sell commercials. I am not for just going around to big donors and handing it to kids for showing up. That’s SMU stuff. I think there are some issues with this stuff right now. So glad the swarm went out.You do know how much money the top dog teams are bringing in the pay players and the money donated to those teams.
Totally agree, I liked the old, secret brown bags of cash days because most teams were cheating with only a few players each year.Yes and I hate it and am against it, with the current situation. I kind of see your point, but of the non-military academy power conference schools…Iowa is certainly a good pick for one of the most likable football programs. Just ask a Nebraska or Iowa State fan.One of the military academy’s. It’s not even close imo.
To be honest I have always liked Indiana … I am happy for you guys that you won the NATTY… and by smokin every team in the playoffs besides for Miami … but I have never seen such a dominant team doing this before … and I like your coach! He’s a good man and a straight shooterAs a 40 year Indiana football man, I would definitely say Iowa is likeable and for a variety of reasons.
Indiana is probably becoming that program, too. If Indiana runs it back, they'll be too much jealousy and folks won't like us.
What do any of these do to like, except Purdue basketball? Before the scandal I would have said Penn State. Now, off the top of my head Purdue or Rutgers. Maryland has a cool turtle.
Indiana sticking it to the bluebloods is very likable. As a 40 year Indiana football man, I would definitely say Iowa is likeable and for a variety of reasons.

I know you are being sarcastic but I actually did like those days better. Or at least i think you are being sarcastic.Totally agree, I liked the old, secret brown bags of cash days because most teams were cheating with only a few players each year.
I ran into an ex Indiana payer from like around 2014 or so in austin tx. , The other day. He had a national champ shirt on which is why we started talking and i had Iowa shirt on. He said Iowa and kinnick was “fun” and a great place. As a 40 year Indiana football man, I would definitely say Iowa is likeable and for a variety of reasons.

Not really sarcastic, I bet Auburn gave Cam Newton's dad and him a lot of money but not sure how many other players they needed to buy. The same with Reggies Bush and USC, back then it was too dangerous to pay a lot of players.I know you are being sarcastic but I actually did like those days better. Or at least i think you are being sarcastic.
Yes it is!Indiana sticking it to the bluebloods is very likable.
This is surprising to me because I think that other Michigan team may not be so welcoming.Just based on fans I'd choose Michigan State. East Lansing was the most welcoming environment I've ever been to. I was walking with my folks before the game maybe 10 years ago, and a guy paused drinking a beer bong to welcome us to town.
I am with you on that one tooUtah is a great comp. I feel like South Carolina, despite being SEC, is another. Clemson was until they started winning a ton. Now I think we passed them.
Honestly, I think a lot of Big Ten teams have our characteristics. Northwestern, Wisconsin, Minnesota. I just can't root for any of them unless it's non- conference.
