It’s understandable. Iowa does more with less to a higher degree than any other program. That’s admirable. Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and Utah are programs I tend to like for similar reasons.

this why i think a patch sponsor of the highest caliber can and should step up. it’s a far beetter and safer bet imo to tie up with iowa than one of usual suspects. iowa has a great combination of competency and respectability
An Iowa football jersay patch would be seen by a whole lot of TV viewers. Even when Iowa plays tough teams on the road most fans know there could be an upset and a very good game.

I sort of thought the John Deere thing on the field was a little bit pandering to farmers or something. Not sure we need money from sponsors. Might be a sellout situation

You do know how much money the top dog teams are bringing in the pay players and the money donated to those teams.
Yes and I hate it and am against it, with the current situation. I am 100% for making money for your name image and likeness. Sell shirts and stickers and collectible cards. Sell commercials. I am not for just going around to big donors and handing it to kids for showing up. That’s SMU stuff. I think there are some issues with this stuff right now. So glad the swarm went out.

He didn’t even mention the wave. People will watch, even if they’re not paying attention to the game. It’s often in the highlights by itself and included in the telecast.

A convenient time to accidentally see a patch or two. Don’t sponsor the wave, just show a few Hawks doing it.

Florida State has been a favorite of mine for a long time. Probably because they've had some reasonably classy coaches and players along the way.

Totally agree, I liked the old, secret brown bags of cash days because most teams were cheating with only a few players each year.

As a 40 year Indiana football man, I would definitely say Iowa is likeable and for a variety of reasons.

Indiana is probably becoming that program, too. If Indiana runs it back, they'll be too much jealousy and folks won't like us.
To be honest I have always liked Indiana … I am happy for you guys that you won the NATTY… and by smokin every team in the playoffs besides for Miami … but I have never seen such a dominant team doing this before … and I like your coach! He’s a good man and a straight shooter

Just based on fans I'd choose Michigan State. East Lansing was the most welcoming environment I've ever been to. I was walking with my folks before the game maybe 10 years ago, and a guy paused drinking a beer bong to welcome us to town.

Utah is a great comp. I feel like South Carolina, despite being SEC, is another. Clemson was until they started winning a ton. Now I think we passed them.

Honestly, I think a lot of Big Ten teams have our characteristics. Northwestern, Wisconsin, Minnesota. I just can't root for any of them unless it's non- conference.

I ran into an ex Indiana payer from like around 2014 or so in austin tx. , The other day. He had a national champ shirt on which is why we started talking and i had Iowa shirt on. He said Iowa and kinnick was “fun” and a great place.

Not really sarcastic, I bet Auburn gave Cam Newton's dad and him a lot of money but not sure how many other players they needed to buy. The same with Reggies Bush and USC, back then it was too dangerous to pay a lot of players.

Indiana sticking it to the bluebloods is very likable.
Yes it is!

I thought Cignetti was an arrogant d-bag at first…..but he actually backed up everything he said. Now it’s just mad respect for turning a basketball school into a football powerhouse within a very short time. ✊

This is surprising to me because I think that other Michigan team may not be so welcoming.
