I admit that I go to elitedawgs from time to time for a good laugh. The rumor over there is that the entire football staff has been informed that its 7 wins or everybody will be fired. If that isn't enough for you, Tom Herman and Scott Frost has reached out for the job if it comes open. We can't even make it to the first game without the rumors mill starting.

I don’t buy it, very unprofessional. No reason to put that ultimatum out there. If in fact it needs to be done you just do it at the end of the season, no point in making that threat before the season starts. Can’t imagine any coach putting up with that and if that’s how business is done in the Ath Dept we won’t attract any decent coach.

Buddy, I lived in Baton Rouge, work a lot in Oxford, and have family that are Alabama fans. We are far from the most toxic fans. Also, who do you hate Selmon and who would you hire to replace him? I think he is doing good.

None of that could be true. We've never fired a coach for 6 wins in a season for on field performance. It won't happen this year either.
Since we enjoy nepotism at MSU, I believe Lebby will get a raise and extension for winning 4 games. Nevermind that attendance is going to be the worst most of us have seen in our lifetimes. Last year did it for me as far as our coaches are concerned. I respect if others feel differently.

If this is true then the entire coaching staff will spend more time job hunting this fall than getting the team ready to play ball .
If he were a retread coasting into retirement, I could buy 6 or more. 7 sounds ridiculous unless there's some no brainer hire that we would have lined up to replace him.
He's a young guy with an exciting offense. If he gets 6 wins this year and looks competitive against the better part of the SEC schedule, we're going to have to extend and raise him to keep him. So given that, I call BS.

Anything would be better than what we have now. Can’t be dumb AND lazy. It’s a shame he wasn’t filtered out during the initial interview. But we Shoulda cleaned house after last year. Record low numbers this year will force the administration to act by Halloween.
