1.)Last time Knicks played Celtics and Jaylen Brown, the Knicks were up 3-1 BEFORE Tatum was injured .
2.)Last playoff series for Jaylen brown he blew a 3-1 lead to Paul George .
3.) Last playoff series for lebron he was swept by an average of 29 points by OKC , which equaled the 4 regular season losses by an average of 29 points
4.) closest game of this years Knicks Sixers series was game 2 , the game Embiid didn’t play
5.) Knicks won game 4 by 40 points a game in which Embiid didn’t miss a shot going 10-10 from the field. Would’ve been 60 if he doesn’t have that type of game.
6.) Knicks lost 3 playoff games …2 by 1 point in which they had ball as time expired in both games and 1 in the finals by 4 when Vassel hit a 30 footer as the shot clock expired with 70 seconds left
7.) Jalen Brunson was mvp and played 3 games in the ECF and 5 in the finals with a loose ligament in his SHOOTING HAND

Philly is probably the best fit for his chasing the ring.
His skills have diminished with age, but he still will make any team he joins better and with the 76ers will excel as a complementary player that forces the opposition to respect his play that makes guarding the other starters much harder and will be a great offensive hedge for when Embiid can't play and is replaced by Drummond
Cleveland would have been another good choice because he would have brought the toughness and leadership they seemed to lack in their quest for the ring last season

my bad: Drummond is with the Knicks, Philly doesn't have a proven back-up for the much injured Embiid

The leadership he brings cannot be overstated. I still think if you absolutely need to win one game, even at 42, I’m still not sure there’s another player I want with the ball in his hands. Taking the vet minimum makes it clear what the mission is.

Let the kids get them to the playoffs, unleash a rested Bron and Joel for a 3-4 month sprint.

Might be a little overstated, since he brought them the only championship they’ve won in nearly 2 decades.
LA's record agrees with you ( asked google)
The Los Angeles Lakers had a combined record of 126-284 in the five seasons before LeBron James arrived in 2018

LeBron James holds a 287–192 (.599) individual game record in games he has played for the Los Angeles Lakers since joining the franchise in 2018.

Season-by-Season Team Records
    • 2018–19: 37–45 ((LeBron missed 27 games due to a groin injury ,4–23 with him out)
    • 2019–20: 52–19 (NBA Champions)
    • 2020–21: 42–30
    • 2021–22: 33–49 (6–20 with him out)
    • 2022–23: 43–39
    • 2023–24: 47–35

I don’t know one Lakers fan that considers that a real championship. No one cares.

LeBron is gone and the fan base can’t be any happier. Guy was a drain at his apex. He’s still a drain and ha an old man game.

There is only one ball. A lot of egos are going to have to be swallowed for them to succeed. Don’t see them winning a championship which is what this move was all about.

Can’t wait to see the Philly fans turn on him when this all goes sideways.

Mike Jordan is the GOAT. Kobe was better than LeBum.

Kobe and LeBron are close, so won't say you're wrong about the better.
MJ probably is the GOAT, but I'll always put Wilt "the Stilt" #1 and Bill Russell #2 .

MJ won with Luke Longley at center. His stats are incomparable. 6 time champion, 6 time finals MVP, never lost in the finals, 11 x all defense first team, on and on and on.

He also took two years off in the prime of his career. Surely would have won at least one more title if not two.

Lebum has longevity. That's it. Mike didn't need it because he was already it. Lebron is chasing something he will never reach. He's not even that skilled. He's just a big body that could move in his prime. Good passer, but his bag is weak. He also is weak mentally. He needs many other great players to win.

Never saw Wilt or Russell so I don't talk about them. I've have seen MJ, Kobe, and Lebum's entire careers start to finish. Lebron isn't even close.

You’re about 30 years old right?
Just turned 50 and Jordan is a god! I own more of his sneakers than I should. I spent most of my childhood trying to pull off his moves on the court. I completely understand someone choosing MJ!
I played and love hoops and there is no better all around player ever than LeBron James.

Stop ! MJ won in a different era which 95% of those players wouldn’t make the league today. MJ 11 def players of the year was the NBA machine marketing him . He was the 3rd best defender on his own team. MJ won nothing without Scottie and couldn’t beat Bird. MJ had a HOF coach and a complete super team that won 2 less games with out him when he was suspended from the league.

LeBron only has longevity? He blew by Jordan’s scoring numbers and did it at a younger age and on thousands of fewer shot attempts. We leave off assists and rebounds! There is no stat in Jordan’s favor except his 6 rings.
If you choose Jordan no problem but he’s just not a better player

Crazy talk. League was like football back then. Jordan would average 50 points with the rules today. You can’t even hand check. He’d get to the rim at will. Yea, LeBum had more points because he’s played longer. And still hasn’t sniffed Jordan’s titles even after ring chasing his entire career.

The league didn’t have to guard the whole floor and there was no 3 pt shooting concerns. Jordan guarded the worst person on the floor and rested on D. The game had 2 slow biv men on the floor. Bron is so much bigger than the “ enforcers” from that era. If you let him run lick and roll against the Davis boys and Rick smiths he would have averaged 70 in the 80’s and 90’s.

he has more points because he scored them faster and at a younger age than jordan while taking thousand less shots. Just a way more efficient player.

He has taken Pikell level talent to the finals. Jordan only could get to the finals and win when he finally had his super team. Sorry it’s not close but respect your choice

They are both great and each would be successful in the others era. Not a LeBron fan, and Jordan is the best, but to minimize what hes done at that size is crazy. Young LeBron was a freak of nature.

Jordan guarded the worst player every night lol? Laughable.

Yea, Bill Cartright and Steve Kerr. Super team!

LeBum can’t carry a team. It’s why he has moved around so much. Always chasing Jordan. But will never get there. Won’t even reach Kobe level.

Their shooting % are almost exactly the same. Less than a percentage difference. MJs scoring average is way higher.

LeBron is a freak of nature and one of the top all time players. But your post pretty much shows you either are not old enough to have watched Jordan play or that you have an agenda.

You also haven't accounted for the fact that in the Jordan era defensive rules were different allowing for hand checking and mich more physical play.

Jordan was Defensive Player of the Year in 1988 and was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team 9 times, which is tied for the most first-team selections in league history. Kobe Bryant is one of the players tied with MJ with 9 first team selections.
Anyone knocking his defensive skills doesn't know what they;re talking about

Go rewatch the 6 championships and tell me who he guarded? Byron Russell, John Stark’s, Jeff Hornacheck! Etc all players who would. Lt be in the league today

Scottie pippen, Dennis Rodman, Ron Harper, Horace Grant ! Stop pippen was the second best player arguably on the league and with out Jordan he one 2 less game. Jordan with out Pippen could not get out of the first round of the playoffs.

Can’t carry a team lololol! Look at the team ls Bron took to the finals! That’s absurd. Once again Jordan could NOT get out of the first round with out Pippen.

Now look at shot attempts and then look assist and rebounds. Plus Bron can guard all 5 positions.

you can take MJ an absolute assain and one of the greatest competitors of all time. All around players not even close

put Jordan in that Miami and he’s not losing any games. Kobe > LeBum. That’s not even a discussion either.

Ring chasing bum. Could never do it on his own. A number of other players I’d take over him that I’ve seen play. I’ve seen a LeBum play more than most here given he played for the Lakers. That’s not even counting the ones I haven’t like Bob Cousy. Old timers who have seen it all rave about his skills.

I plant Wilt Chamberlain as the most dominant player for a single season, averaging 50pts 25 rebounds in 1961/62. That was 20 points per game more than the guy who finished 2nd. Bill Russell called Wilt the best to ever play and I'd say he was in a good position to judge. They changed the rules to help these other guys. They had to change the rules to stop Wilt from going through the league like a hot knife through butter.

Dude, at least pretend everyone else here watched the Bulls and make a honest argument, Yes, Jordan had a super team - Pippen, Kukoc, Rodman, Harper, etc. when Jordan left, that team was still decent and had decent a decent playoff run. LeBron has been carrying teams since he was in his early 20s. When he leaves, those teams are lottery bound. I still think Jordan is the GOAT, but it’s beyond idiotic to minimize LeBron, and Jordan and LeBron play fundamentally different games - LeBron is probably a better all around player.

That was a very well built team around Michael and Scotty. A third all round player in Grant, shooters in Paxson and Hodges, Perdue was an excellent defensive rebounder and shot blocker on that team, Cartwright and Levingston were pros pros. Top 5 defensive team around Mike's offensive brilliance.

Mikes brilliance was also on the defensive end. Real super power was being an incredible winner. Point is he didn’t chase it. He built it. LeBum lost with an all star team and HOFers. Jordan won with BJ Armstrong and Will Perdue lol.

Philly won’t win with LeBum. Watch. And it will be everyone else’s fault.
