Thanks Warrior. It definitely could be an inner ear thing. I'm watching closely and hoping it was, in my case, mostly dehydration.
It's crazy how dependent we are on those little bones inside our ear. I had a very close friend who was a former newspaper war correspondent who took a jo as a combat zone producer for CBS. He was in an IED explosion outside Baghdad in 2007...He survived where some others were, sadly, killed (US Marines.) The major damage to him was severe damage to the inner ear bones on one side.
No problem. Just have it all surgically repaired, right? Not hardly. Damn near 20 years and several surgeries later, he still has balance issues and constant rining in his ears. He was a skier and a hockey player -- that's all out. He obviously still considers himself lucky, but he hasn't had a day where he's been the way he was before the explosion.
