Looks like a squabbit.
Hello All,
I have been at it at home but also took My Darling out and about for a bit. Have a bunch to do later this evening that involves driving. I sure wanted to partake of a Yuengling or two while working in my garage but it will have to wait... Got to pick up my granddaughter from her ballet practice over in Mannassas, VA about 17 or so miles away at 7:30.
I do hope any of your issues are able to be managed.
(That looks like a meal he/she/it doesn't plan on giving up easily MdW.... A more serious look I have not seen in a while...)

I cleaned, did whatever was required or needed growing up... MOE's mainstay was sales and services to heated hi-pressure washers.. He was into several sidelines though and actually had a good business going until he passed away a few years after I left him to join the Army (Back in Detroit and the surrounding areas, cleaning was a big deal with all the factories spouting and spewing...(I welded on boxcars at night. I was working 16 hour days regularly back then and do not regret the work I did as it took me to where I was going... I was truly thankful. I hope we can get that back somehow... People working hard was not a bad thing...

Good morning folks. Working from home today. Beautiful sunny summer day -- at least as viewed from the window. I'm watching for killer hawks but nature's buffet has been quiet this morning.
Not much else going on. It is the doldrums of summer. But my kids are all well, my wife and I are healthy and are jobs are tolerable. My biggest direct worry is a leaky toilet, so I shouldn't lose sight of the fact that I am blessed. I hope it is a good day for all of you.

The BB got here about 0620. He hopped into bed with me and My Darling. (Got a king-sized mattress due to him, years ago. (The boy was out this time quickly so...) I took him to his Summer Camp about 9 and My Darling and I went to LIDL, picked up a few items and we are back home.

I am waiting on a couple metal straightening pieces but I may be able to do without them. We shall see. The lawn mowing company is all over though and I worry about the dust today. We shall see...

Beautiful morning here for a 4 mile walk/jog before work. Now I get to look at blue skies and know this is the best day of the summer from my office window.
Officially joined ranks of widowers at 12:02 pm CST this afternoon. My Vicki passed peacefully. Rest in Peace, babe.

Austin, I am so sorry to hear this.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm glad she passed peacefully. As I have found way too often recently, with both parents and a treasured aunt passing, the pain is for those of us left behind. I can only imagine how much more grief is involved with a spouse. You have my sincere condolences...

Played 2 co-ed softball games last night in Chickasha Ok. and won both. We are now 10-2 with 4 games left. First game went extra innings, but we pulled it out. 2nd game was a laugher and it was over by the 3rd inning in a run rule. Got home about 10:45pm last night. We will be playing in an all-night tournament in Temple OK (hour drive from me) Saturday night starting at 6pm and ending at 6am Sunday for the championship. Double elimination so, if we lose the first one the second is at 10pm and if we lose that one, I will be home at midnight. But if we win... much later. Coffee and 5-hour energy for this old guy is a must.

Not sure if I tell you all enough but I DO enjoy you immensly and I DO consider you friends.
Been conversing with several of you 20 years and if that is not a friendship I am not sure what is...
In comparison, I do have a few friends locally but I do not consider any of them, friends like you...
I have been in multiple business/ work environments dealing with many thousands of people over a whole lot of years...
I have also talked and done business with a couple of you personally and you all are of a high character which is lacking in a bunch of people now.... I am thankful for you!
Brother ATXC knows/ knew some of my relatives and we were/ are in a distant way kin of sorts... (A cousins, cousins in-law, cousin kind of stuff...) That is close enough for me.
I am pretty busy these next couple weeks with personal stuff and also some traveling if the Lord doesn't take me home...
Just wanted to take time to tell you all what you mean to me.... In the grand scheme of things you DO matter to me. If I can ever do anything to make your days better (Not sure what I could do but I will try in any event.).... Contact me.

Here's a wildlife picture for you BBUK for those nice words of encouragement. I was hiking with an older buddy 76 (I tend to hang out with older gentlemen) and he walked up on this. I heard "woah" and he was instantly on my side of the road. He said he was trying to shield me. lol. I wish I knew how to put up a video.

Edit: HA, I am reminded of my first encounter with TWO rattle snakes... I was with Orkin Pest Control in Elizabethtown, Ky at the time and I was new to that area. I was new to the bug business too. I was doing an annual termite inspection at a property on Bernhiem Forrest. One of their properties, I actaully had to drive through a creek to get to that house... It was a taller crawl space and as I opened the door while a park Ranger was there with me, two rattle snakes inside that crawl space gave me the rattle duet welcome....
I closed that door gently, said good bye to the Ranger with some other pleasantries and got back in my truck and left... While I was in the bug business 20 years total, I never went back to that particular property and I do not miss it...
I had many poisonous snake encounters but that was the most sobering as I had never been that close to that type snake in my life. (Less than about four feet.)
As far as posting video's. The best way is to open yourself a youtube account. It let's you post video's and it is free. You can then send a link to that video... Heck With all the "wild life" you come across I bet your video cache would be monitized soon. (Have to read Youtube stuff to see how that works but it is how I post video's from time to time...)

A low key weekend planned. My daughter is coming over and we're going out to dinner at a local steak house. THen church tomorrow and maybe a trip to a new museum in DC I'm interested in visiting soon that National Geographic is opening.

Thanks, I patterned my self after Ty Cobb hitting as a righty. Ted Williams too, I had their style down pat. Just was not in their league but I wanted to be and I could pepper a baseball as long as I could reach it. My coaches when I started used to get so angry at me but then they realized I could hit the ball nearly any where I wanted from nearly any position or stance I took with authority. If I needed a walk I took the walk though. I bet I didn't strike out a dozen times in my whole carreer. Even up to legion ball.. I had the green light to do what I wanted. I was a student of the game though and did whatever helped us win or didn't do it. HAHA... Ye Ole Legs... Never had'em.... I am walking okay so I am thankful...

I don't know if you noticed but the Reds are 5-2 since the break with Greene on the mound tonight vs the Cards. Not getting my hopes up since they are still 15.5 games out of first and under .500 at 48-54. Maybe some of their players are playing better hoping there are some willing buyers out there since Cincy is selling during the trade window and they are trying to go somewhere that has a winning team.
I will be heading out in about 4hrs to go to Temple OK for the co-ed tournament tonight. Probably take a nap here in a bit to rest up some more.

I probably got your share of strikeouts. Feeling the bat solidly strike a ball was like a drug to me. I had to have that feeling NOW, not the next pitch. NOW. I never conquered the swinging at pitches out of the strike zone thing. I knew what the glove was for though.
My buddy was talking while I was videoing. Volume up and you can hear the snake pretty good.

My Darling and I spent the afternoon hitting Asian Markets up in the Annandale area of Virginia.. Had a good time together...
The BB and I had some good times this morning as we got into a tag team event... He kicked my butt after a tough fight....
Oh, the dead animal on my daughters upper deck...

That boy likes that belt...
He is as good-natured a boy as he looks to be. He gets along with so many here in our 55 and over community… just has lots of friends.
Have a blessed day... I plan on eating a tomato, mayonaise, black pepper, and cracker sandwich or two. The tomato's are from My Darling's garden...
Had this the day before yesterday from our new BBQ grill My Darling wanted. It is a small charcoal grill and it has been working out fine once I burned one good fire in it first.
That is a Chuck Eye steak... The rice is under the steak. Yeah, I ate it...

Reds lost to the Cards last night with another goose egg 7-0. Can win the series today however if they can get some hits. Game at 1:15pm CT.

A manic Monday -- went for a run about 6am before it got hot, did some work around the house and started my job about 8am...

Manager Oli Marmol helped you guys out. In the 7-0 game he pitched one of his better relief pitchers the eighth and ninth which meant he pitched the worst pitcher on the team in the tenth inning Cards loss because the better pitcher was unavailable in the ten inning game because he had pitched the previous day. Oli does some odd things.
Anyone heard of a quadribuilt bat? Babe Ruth used one for a forty game stretch hitting .458 till the AL ruled it illegal. It was a 4 piece wooden bat. It is supposed to be one piece.

Good morning folks. Warm, cloudy and muggy in the east. Promises to be a busy day at work.
All is well otherwise. My kids are all fine. My son says he's going back out on the fire line for a few weeks beginning next week.
I woke up this morning with a bad case of vertigo. I literally couldn't stand up for a few minutes for the room spinning and felt a distinctive seasick sensation. I was also bathed in sweat. Not sure what is going on. Dr. Google says the most simple answer is dehydration, so I downing lots of water. Feeling a bit better now, and need to concentrate on work. so I'm try to put it out of my mind.
I hope it is smooth sailing for all of you.
All is well otherwise. My kids are all fine. My son says he's going back out on the fire line for a few weeks beginning next week.

An old friend of mine had a similar problem about 4 weeks ago that lasted a few days. After a doctors appointment where they did some test, it seems there was some problem (swelling in the ear) that messed with his equilibrium. So, he got some ear drops, and it has seemed to have worked for him. Just throwing a thought out there.
