Might be one of the best pass catching groups we’ve had in a long time
But only so much. Otherwise it makes it harder to win, according to the captain, himselfThrow. The. Ball.
Woody Hayes says... what?? Is that a problem? Probably a combination of Kirk's love of the run and Brian's ineptitude.I would like to live long enough to see a 300 yard passing game.
Since I have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel, I hope its soon.
That’s a Kirk Ferentz wet dreamNo chance unless we deploy our secret weapon..... a 6 TE set TL has been cooking up

No. That would be punting on 1st downThat’s a Kirk Ferentz wet dream
Might be one of the best pass catching groups we’ve had in a long time
I wish.... but 40+ years of watching it.... tells me maybe notI think this is the year the offense finally exercises some demons!

I’m optimistic about Evans James as well.now we see if #14 is as good as they say he is.
I know nothing about him but will check it outI’m optimistic about Evans James as well.
check out his stats at Furman last year. Yes, it was at Furman. But he had 60+ catches and was super consistent EVERY game. Even had 6 catches against Clemson. So he showed up in their big game too.
I think this is the year the offense finally exercises some demons!
Yes, the things we can thank KF forYou can thank KF and BF for that incredible statistic. But it ends this year. Iowa could throw for over 300 yards against all three of its opening opponents, including ISU. Just depends if Lester wants to do it. He has the guys to get it done. I'm confident of that.

It doesnt matter what the starting qb has for passing stats as this is a team stat.Yes, assuming the QBs stay healthy, this is the season the Hawks have a 300-yard passing game. If a semi-healthy Cade could hit 250 with the 2024 receivers, then it should happen this year.
Quite honestly, though, I don't care if it happens as long as the offense is productive. If the Hawks have a big lead and the starter has 290 yards, I'm good with QB2 coming in rather than QB1 hitting the 300 mark.
?? Sorry, I don't follow. The OP is about a 300-yard passer (singular, individual) not a team stat.It doesnt matter what the starting qb has for passing stats as this is a team stat.
It's truly incredible that people actually care about thisI’d rather have W’s no matter how they happen.
Stanley was talented but wildly inconsistent. He looked like an easy Heisman Trophy winner vs. Ohio State, and then looked like he'd never played football before vs. Wisconsin. He missed wide open receivers for what would have been game-winning scores vs. Penn State. But yes, when you compare Stanley to the likes of Deacon Hill (OMG), Spencer Petras, Joe Labas, Cade McNamara and gang, yes, Stanley was a good one.And all the fans that bad mouthed Nate Stanley.
Is it? Passing is a thing that good teams do. Even mediocre teams do it. Iowa? The numbers tell the story. Have someone read them to you. It's truly incredible that people actually care about this
What!!!!??? The OP thread title says "300 yard passing game" which means the final stats for Iowa would have 300+ yards total passing which could include a halfback pass or a backup qb with passing yards.?? Sorry, I don't follow. The OP is about a 300-yard passer (singular, individual) not a team stat.
Of course, its something of a moot point, because the Hawks haven't done it as team, either, since Stanley's last one in 2019.
if stanley had been the qb 2021-24 i suspect we woulf have 1-2 more b1g titlesStanley was talented but wildly inconsistent. don't look now but the tweet says "passer"What!!!!??? The OP thread title says "300 yard passing game" which means the final stats for Iowa would have 300+ yards total passing which could include a halfback pass or a backup qb with passing yards.
I sure hope you dont make a habit of "Trumpet"ing your reading comprehension!!. I just had to write that, I couldnt help it, but it was in jest!
I dont care how a re-posted tweet reads when the thread title question says "game".don't look now but the tweet says "passer"
