His great play his RSFR year was primarily because opposing defenses didn't really know much about how to defend him. Once opponents started putting a spy on him, he was no longer the threat he had been.
His numbers tell the story. In 2024 he rushed for 674 yds, in 2025 he rushed for 270 yds. His passing yds per season are basically the same both seasons, around 2500 yds or, 200 yds per game. For his career, he has 33 passing TDs, 2 in 2023, 18 in 2024 and 13 in 2025. He has 15 interceptions, 7 in 2024 and 8 in 2025. Those aren't impressive numbers.
I've heard NFL players say the biggest step up is from HS to college. In HS, most D1/P4 players are not only the best player on their team, most days, they are the best player on the field on either team. When they get to college, most of the time they are not even the best player at their position.
