Probably won’t be too long, unfortunately.

Weird how NOT fan-girling over a 5-year-old diary makes us "limp-wristed," huh?I do not have the least bit of interest in Fauci’s diary from five years ago when the world is literally burning down around us today. If he broke the law and there’s evidence, throw him in jail. I do not care.
Was there ever a point where President Biden was rumored to be dead with an alleged cover-up to thwart the procedure for a successor? No different than hiding an empty suit President for 4 years. Bu-bu-bu-both sides right. Oh that’s in the past, it doesn’t count now.
Was there ever a point where President Biden was rumored to be dead with an alleged cover-up to thwart the procedure for a successor?
But no different.

You can't use logic to change people's minds when they arrived at their position without sound logic to begin with. Similarly, you can't point out nuance to people who don't think with complexity.Whats the deal w/ the repeated Biden was an empty suit, blah blah blah...that man attended everything that was needed...and IF he was, he quality, experienced people around him to help, assist, guide...just current heads of depth and current nominations to their immediate predecessors???
Biden once went two months without holding a press conference, a modern record. As for the “quality, experienced people” around him, to whom are you referring exactly? Anyone in particular? Blinken seemed competent enough and plays a mean guitar, but he’ll forever be saddled with the Afghan withdrawal and the appeasement strategy that failed miserably with Putin. Then there’s Majorcas who was a complete disaster which we’ve already established. Merrick Garland who weaponized the Doj like none other. And Lloyd Austin who disappeared for a while without telling anyone, quite the faux pas when you’re in charge of our nation’s military. Curious for your take though.Whats the deal w/ the repeated Biden was an empty suit, blah blah blah...that man attended everything that was needed...and IF he was, he quality, experienced people around him to help, assist, guide...just current heads of depth and current nominations to their immediate predecessors???
Merrick Garland did no such thing. Like almost every President other than Trump, Justice worked independently from the President. AG Garland appointed independent special investigators to avoid any conflict of interest. Under his watch, the sitting President's son was convicted of multiple felonies! President Trump's weaponization of the Justice Dept is unprecedented in modern times.Biden once went two months without holding a press conference, a modern record. McConnell's lust for continued power caught up with him. He was 'done' years ago, and now there's a dilemma. This is not the same as Biden though. The man was told to stay in the basement during campaign time, and somehow got the most votes in history. He had no clue as to what day it was, nor what to do during the day. This was during his entire term as President. You're acting like he had something to do with the people around him, and that it was him showing great leadership. Do you actually believe this?Whats the deal w/ the repeated Biden was an empty suit, blah blah blah...that man attended everything that was needed...and IF he was, he quality, experienced people around him to help, assist, guide...just current heads of depth and current nominations to their immediate predecessors???
Yes, Biden’s appointees were qualified but that’s unfortunately not the word used in the post I was actually referring to. Quality was used, which suggests a certain, minimal level of performance. You’ve changed the subject to indulge in another round of Trump bashing. Let’s stick to the topic here. We’ve addressed Patel, Hegseth, etc. numerous times. Sometimes inexperienced hires surprise you. These haven’t They’ve been predictably awful.Merrick Garland did no such thing. However challenging circumstances may have worked out for them on the job, President Biden's cabinet appointees were undeniably experienced and qualified. What has Betsy DeVos or Linda McMahon ever had to do with public education? What qualifies Kash Patel, Dan Bogino, Kristi Noem, RFK Jr, or Pete Hegseth for their jobs other than being sycophants for President Trump?
Was there ever any suspicion that President Biden was actually dead and it was being covered up
The Left spent years demonizing anyone who dared question the all- knowing St. Anthony. We were accused of being conspiracy theorists, Neanderthals, and “ Y’all might as well just push Grandma off the cliff”. Now that we know that Fauci was wrong about just about everything, not surprisingly the Left is either ignoring it or dismissing it as “ well that was five years ago” or “ Well Trump’s even worse”.McConnell's lust for continued power caught up with him. I've brought up Fauci lately because we told you guys years ago what an awful person he was, but we were mocked. Now we're finally hearing reports confirming what we already knew. The same will be true with Ol Joe. Most likely something along the lines of Obama and his team called all the shots. Ol Joe was just a patsy. In time, you'll all see it too.

Boogie suggested that Biden “ attended everything”. I pointed out there was a gap between what Biden actually attended and the status quo expected of Presidents.
To your last question, I never asserted that Biden was suspected to be dead at any point.
Not press conferences so I guess not everything just some things. Campaigning not being one of themGeesh...everything in terms of going off and participating in events, summits, and visits
Ol Boogie can spin better than a washing machineNot press conferences so I guess not everything just some things. Campaigning not being one of them
World events..., but a 2 month frame of time in a 4 year termNot press conferences so I guess not everything just some things. Campaigning not being one of them
The caveat I mentioned about job performance notwitstanding offers insight into why I preferred the word qualified over quality. It certainly wasn't some attempt to spin anything.Yes, Biden’s appointees were qualified but that’s unfortunately not the word used in the post I was actually referring to. You mean a once-in-a-lifetime epidemic was not immediately and accurately understood by scientists who did not have the leisure of a lengthy study? Yeah, how dare he.The Left spent years demonizing anyone who dared question the all- knowing St. Anthony. We were accused of being conspiracy theorists, Neanderthals, and “ Y’all might as well just push Grandma off the cliff”. Now that we know that Fauci was wrong about just about everything, not surprisingly the Left is either ignoring it or dismissing it as “ well that was five years ago” or “ Well Trump’s even worse”.
Businesses destroyed that will never come back, the epidemic of mental health issues, kids’ learning loss, citizens’ growing mistrust of govt officials. And we’re to believe that all of that pales in comparison to rising inflation, which oh by the way we had then too.
Meanwhile Fauci invokes the 5th Amendment even though he’s already been pardoned. This is the transparency the Left has long championed.
Oh! Dr Fauci's opening statement laid out exactly why he was taking the 5th. Pretty transparent.Meanwhile Fauci invokes the 5th Amendment even though he’s already been pardoned. This is the transparency the Left has long championed.
As usual you’ve conducted straw men to have the debate you want to have, so as not to have to respond to comments actually made. “Went with the best available information”. We’ve acknowledged that the first three to six months were full of panic and erring on the side of caution was prudent. He never adapted to changing data however and became a political darling of the Left and left science behind at some point. His rhetoric smacked of politics more than science. His behavior today doesn’t suggest that of a man with nothing to hide, but that of someone who has no other recourse other than to hide behind lawyers. It’s embarassing to put it mildly. You mean a once-in-a-lifetime epidemic was not immediately and accurately understood by scientists who did not have the leisure of a lengthy study? Yeah, how dare he.
Dr Fauci went with the best available information at the time. Conservatives act like it's a mortal sin to have gone with a "better safe than sorry" approach for a once-in-a-lifetime epidemic. What you claim he was "wrong" about was nothing compared to President Trump (#45) and his gaslighting.
President Trump has undermined public trust of numerous institutions. Dr Fauci is nothing more than your fall guy. He was right about much more than he was wrong.
His private diary is a nothing burger. It confirms nothing. Y'all are indeed still conspiracy theorists.
Everyone gives lip service to transparency at times. I see Dr Fauci's pleading the 5th as a refusal to participate in a bogus, grandstanding witch hunt. And between terms, our current President took the 5th more than 400 times in a single deposition, so spare me your pearl-clutching.
"Went with the best available information." Let's translate this. "We really want to harm and kill people, keep alternative options silenced, and see who will follow our stupid instructions."“Went with the best available information”. We’ve acknowledged that the first three to six months was full of panic and erring on the side of caution was prudent. He never adapted to changing data and became a political darling of the Left and left science behind at one point. What was he right about that a first year med student couldn’t have told you?You mean a once-in-a-lifetime epidemic was not immediately and accurately understood by scientists who did not have the leisure of a lengthy study? Yeah, how dare he.

I don't think it's embarrassing for him at all. It's embarrassing for Senator Paul. Did you hear the opening statement?“Went with the best available information”. We’ve acknowledged that the first three to six months were full of panic and erring on the side of caution was prudent. He never adapted to changing data however and became a political darling of the Left and left science behind at one point. His rhetoric smacked of politics more than science. What advice did conservatives ever trust? What was he right about that a first year med student couldn’t have told you?
“Independent” special investigators? Surely you’re not this naive. I’ve never defended Trump’s cabinet except for Rubio who doesn’t fit the description. Why would I waste further time on this topic merely to indulge your latest change of subject to circle back to your forever destination: Trump? The caveat I mentioned about job performance notwitstanding offers insight into why I preferred the word qualified over quality. It certainly wasn't some attempt to spin anything.
Who has been appointed by President Trump who has been a pleasant surprise as an outsider, in your opinion?
No pushback on the pushback on Garland's so-called "weaponization"?
I asked about President Biden's suspected death in relation to @dukesince91 's false equivalency around Sen McConnell. I don't remember or care to worry about why I repeated it with you.
President Trump's cabinets among the worst in US history
No strawman here. What question do you think I haven't addressed? As usual you’ve conducted straw men to have the debate you want to have, so as not to have to respond to comments actually made.
I’ll ask again: what was he right about that a first year med student couldn’t tell you?I don't think it's embarrassing for him at all. It's embarrassing for Senator Paul. Did you hear the opening statement?
Y'all were objecting to masks by April of 2020. That was a month into it and y'all were already rebelling against the most basic, sensible recommendations Dr Fauci made. At no point did y'all follow his advice.
A career scientist was thrown into the spotlight with one of the most petulant, dishonest, grandstanding Presidents ever. President Trump undermined him at every step.
The economy and schools are not his responsibility.
What advice did conservatives ever trust?
Did you not bring up Garland and claim he weaponized DoJ?“Independent” special investigators? Surely you’re not this naive. I’ve never defended Trump’s cabinet except for Rubio who doesn’t fit the description. Well, I really couldn't tell you what a first year med student knows. Do you actually know, or are you just using that as an extreme comparison?I’ll ask again: what was he right about that a first year med student couldn’t tell you?
That we gave no grace at the beginning of the pandemic, and that this isnt about slow reaction to evolving data, his refusal to tolerate dissent, etc.No strawman here. What question do you think I haven't addressed?
We were discussing Biden’s cabinet not Trump’s. I mentioned Garland and his behavior during Biden’s term. What does that have to do with Trump’s out of the box Cabinet hires?Did you not bring up Garland and claim he weaponized DoJ?
Were you not already talking about his cabinet as a natural offshoot of Boogie's statement about who President Biden surrounded himself with?
I didn't change any subject.
And I reminded you that y'all were protesting masks within a month. That's a very clear example of giving no grace at the beginning of the pandemic. That we gave no grace at the beginning of the pandemic, and that this isnt about slow reaction to evolving data, his refusal to tolerate dissent, etc.
Uhhhh, well, I feel kinda silly having to point this out to you, but he is the current President and was also the President before Biden, when the pandemic started. And no criticism of President Biden, Dr Fauci, President Obama, or any other enemy of conservatives is worth spit if you're not applying the same standard to our current President. And no, it's not a two-way street because there is only one current President. We were discussing Biden’s cabinet not Trump’s. I mentioned Garland and his behavior during Biden’s term. What does that have to do with Trump’s out of the box Cabinet hires?
First par: the correct answer is nothing.Well, I really couldn't tell you what a first year med student knows. Do you actually know, or are you just using that as an extreme comparison?
He was right about masks, distancing, vaccines, asymptomatic spread, virus mutations...
Not protesting masks, the mandates. And I reminded you that y'all were protesting masks within a month. That's a very clear example of giving no grace at the beginning of the pandemic.
Uhhhh, well, I feel kinda silly having to point this out to you, but he is the current President and was also the President before Biden, when the pandemic started. I challenged your notion that Garland weaponized DoJ and pointed out the 1st and 2nd best example of who has absolutely weaponized the DoJ. (Spoiler: they're both Trump.)
The Left pretend it’s about conservatives wanting everything re: his Covid approach to be perfect, when they tried to shut down any and all dissent would be a more accurate assessment of what transpired. Not surprising that our three resident libs can still defend Fauci. This coming from the same media that hid Biden's cognitive decline for years. This same media won't cover what Fauci wrote, and definitely never asked him tough questions. Before he got bought off (many, many years ago) he may have been a respected doctor.
We've had 28 years of 'planned' decline under HW, Clinton, W, and Obama. Think of the frog in the pot of water. Not saying Trump has been the President I hoped for, but you're a special kind of stupid if you think things were great before he came along.
“ At no point did y’all follow his advice”. Patently false. This is revisionist history and ignores the fact that millions of conservatives did just that up until vaccines rolled out, when most Americans were done with masks and distancing.I don't think it's embarrassing for him at all. It's embarrassing for Senator Paul. Did you hear the opening statement?
Y'all were objecting to masks by April of 2020. That was a month into it and y'all were already rebelling against the most basic, sensible recommendations Dr Fauci made. At no point did y'all follow his advice.

The economy and schools are not his responsibility.
What advice did conservatives ever trust?
You're nitpicking.First par: the correct answer is nothing.
Second par:
Masks? Drastically overstated their effectiveness.
Distancing? Admitted the six feet distance was arbitrary. Banned outdoor football game attendance when evidence had already emerged that outdoor events were not superspreaders.
Schools remained closed for far too long ( a year or two in some cases) though evidence was already in that children typically didn’t get sick nor were they normally vectors.
Vaccines? Claimed that vaccines would prevent transmission. False.
Virus mutations? That gets back to the whole first year med student thing.
What clued you in to his not deserving your trust? Not protesting masks, the mandates.
You asked this in another post, but I’ll address it here. What advice did we trust? At the beginning most conservatives I know wore masks, avoided large indoor gatherings, suspended visits to elderly relatives, etc. Over time, it became clear that this trust wasn’t earned and Fauci had his own interests at heart, namely financial enrichment and covering his own ***.
Federal indictments concerning Jan 6 and classified documents could have easily waited, but there was a rush to damage Trump’s electoral chances. This is known in the Third World as political persecution.
They really can’t win on issues, so they do their best to spin it. Yeah, I was against masks, but not at first. Once I started to see interviews several months later with other doctors, and the nail in the coffin was when videos of politicians not practicing what they preached were aired. The Left pretend it’s about conservatives wanting everything re: his Covid approach to be perfect, when they tried to shut down any and all dissent would be a more accurate assessment of what transpired.
Waited until after the election so you didn’t have a sitting Pres appearing to try to throw his chief political opponent in jail. What clued you in to his not deserving your trust?
Waited for what?
