Agreed. I am trying to stay as optimistic as I can with UK football but I feel like a battered wife over the years and I keep coming back for more beatings.
You know that. It will be interesting to see if he takes another position somewhere else and how quick it happens.

Maybe the "Because of me" quote bothered him.
You know that was kind of a loser thing to say when there's so many parts to a football team. Yea he's the head man but even then there's people behind doors just as important if not more important than him.

I could see where that could rub some people wrong that have been working their *** off. Stein could have said because my staff and the players we've gotten and will continue to get. Didn't have to be completely self centered because he's believing his own hype from a desperate football fanbase that's been getting blown out by Louisville.

Big words so he better back them up or he will be looking like a grade A clown.

I thought the comment was overly narcissistic. Certainly not what I would consider a team building approach, but he makes the big bucks and I post on the internet.

For sure. There's a reason it made the front page. Espn doesn't think we are going to make anymore noise than we ever have. It was on the front page because it was a odd statement to make as a head coach.

Now one of his main people leave before the first season started. Not a good look as much as BBN wants to hype this guy up. He's never been a head coach. And he's supposed to come to the SEC and say Kentucky is going to be good because of him.

Yea you're right. Extremely narcissistic..and I'm sure any grown man working for him found it offensive. I would if my boss said that. I put in all these hours and the boss says we did this because of me.

I'm sure the GM had a major part in getting a lot of players here while Stein was still in Oregon coaching.

This is WILD speculation.

I assume these guys are good buddies and Stein explained the comment, as a sort of branding/attention thing. I suspect Stein knows how to manage relationships.

If not, our outlook isn’t as good as I expected. But to conclude the guy left a good job because Stein hurt his feelings seems very far fetched to me.

I'm not saying he left because of Steins comments. But regardless he made the comments then a week or two later this guy leaves. Even if he left for his own personal reason it's just a reminder that you can't be talking before you play the first game of your career.

Never heard Kirby or Nick Saban ever say the word ME. Just a poor choice imo. But if he backs it up he'll look just as good as he would bad if he don't back it up.

But as far as speculation goes....I don't think anybody on the team or staff appreciated it. If I had to guess. I mean lots of BBN didn't even like it. Not that Wild.

You are most definitely the most notorious troll this site has ever seen. You really should be in a mental health facility.

funny thing is....is I'm one of the biggest UK fans to ever live. I call it like I see it and that's why y'all want to label me a troll because I go against that weak crap y'all try and spread. Yalls agenda sucks. I won't lower my standards.

There was a time where I didn't say crazy things I didn't post gay porn about you and cowboy and Jeff. There was a time I just posted my UK takes. And y'all tried to label me a troll back then for calling things like it is.

Y'all created the troll so thank yourself. I wanted to discuss UK and y'all couldn't handle different opinions. Yell troll like a little girl. So here I am.

Again admitting it has been you all along right after having tried to deny it yet again. You are truly a lunatic.

Imo this is a bigger loss than this board is recognizing. He was the architect of Oregon rosters and a catalyst behind our roster success so far.

Plus the dreaded "personal reasons" and request for privacy isn't good. Its either a serious health, marital, or HR related issue.

Imo we'll need a replacement. I don't think nochte is ready.

Just an awful blow.

I agree. Major loss for the FB Cats.
