All the personal possessions, furniture, clothes, memories lost. I feel bad for anybody this happens to.

Well, that sucks. Hopefully he has really good insurance with higher limits on the structure/dwelling as well as personal contents. We always write to the max coverage for all possibilities including a separate policy for the roof should it need replaced for any reason. Add in liability with the property should someone get injured.
