Here, we can expect to lose someone to Lincoln charter from time to time. So can the other Lincoln County schools?

Sure don’t look forward to the day, but I’m afraid LCS, will be a force in football. Athletics appear to have a place at the table in that administration.

Considering their achievements in basketball and baseball, it’s obvious they have a keen interest in football as well. Already they’ve brought in an accomplished coach, along with being in the process of constructing a new football stadium. Losing players to them will more than likely increase right after they’ve had a good year in football, which much to my dismay will probably be sooner than later.

These charter schools can have long tentacles, which could make surrounding schools, even some that are out of county, susceptible.
I wouldn’t call any names here, but one of those schools rhymes with Hayden (pronounced Hay dun).
I overheard a lady on the escalator complaning about a Georgia charter school in the Savannah area beating local basketball teams by 30 or more points. She was talking about the same things we talk about with charter schools like how funny that these charter schools can find such tall and skilled basketball players within their small student body population. What are the odds?

They already tried to knock on our door and we treated them like Jehovah witnesses 😂. As soon as the door open we kicked them in the nuts and told them if they come around these parts again we'll cut them off. 😂

You treat everybody from Lincolnton that way. We asked you to take down that awful welcome sign on the south side of town, the one that all us Lincolnton sorts have to drive by just to go through there, and you won’t do it. A little short on brotherly love I’d think.

I would have to disagree with you and many others would too I believe. I think honestly we have a reputation for being very welcoming hospitable and accommodating to people outside our area and willing to assimilate to blue 😂

In the words of someone else, isn’t that call that “poaching?”
I never said anything about athletes or sports. You're just assuming and know what assuming makes me and you 😂. My Statement could be referring to the tired and huddled masses. 😂 1000012555.png

Tell you one thing. If I were Coach Byrne, you wouldn’t get to watch any Maiden games, because I’d have you watching next week’s opponent.

Would outfit you with an iPad and notebook, some multi-color pens, a high-end pair of binoculars, a small high-tech voice recorder, some gas and meal money and tell you I wanted a scouting report by next Tuesday. That would be better than game film.:)

In the underworld run by the Blue Devil the days are just random. You think today is the 27th no that was yesterday and forget about the 28th day of the calendar. Days do not exist in the Blue Devil underworld.
That's part of hell lol the date u have big plans or date u get your freedom, doesn't exist in hell lol it's suppose to be torture 😂

Watching the wing t or triple option executed well is a work of art though and plenty of kids ran it and went on to play at the next level.
I’m a SP grad and I can say I have watched it for many many years and as a football fan I can appreciate it. However as a player in today’s times I would not want to be on a team running it.

We ran the flex bone for years. Last year was 1st year in new offense. It took a while but it grew on me. Biggest thing is teams can't load the box.

The flexbone works, no doubt about it. However you are going to lose certain QB’s and every receiver in this day and age. Used to be everyone just stayed and dealt with it but we live in a different world these days.

Exactly my comparison to communism lol. U ask the the people to sacrifice for the collective. Lineman always sacrifice but in option requires wr to sacrifice their abilities and skills for the greater collective with no return. And sacrifice opportunity to be promoted for college. And just like communism u have few screaming for it so the can seize power a la QB and RBs. They are your Lenin's and Mao zedongs 😂 😂

Like central Davidson that offense is not for everyone
It is hard to stop, especially when it is engrained in your culture like SP. Their youth teams run it. Their middle school runs it. It definitely keeps them in and wins ball games with smaller less talented kids at times. SP has had plenty of talent but I have seen many smaller less talented SP teams beat larger and more talented Crest teams over the years. For them it works, but it is definitely not for everyone. Even their fan base is not 100% in on it all the time. As strong as their culture is I could still see them losing some kids over the next few years who just don’t want to play in it any longer.

As an old head, I love option football. A team has to have a mobile quarterback, which South Point seems to always have; but it does look like many teams in this area have chosen to spread out their offenses.

One of these days Cramer will beat SP in football, and when that happens, with just a few miles (I’m thinking), between them, this might turn into the biggest rivalry in the state.

3 miles away to be exact. Being a SP grad and having a son at SC currently and one that will be there in 2 years I do know that day of SC beating SP will happen one day (of course they have to be back on the schedule first). SP has dominated SC in basically every sport since SC was opened in 2013. Football has not been close except for 1 year a few years back. However with the coaching change at SC things will be different and I would only look at SC’s football program from last year forward. I am sure everyone at SP wishes they were playing SC this year and I can promise you everyone at SC wishes they were playing SP this year but unfortunately it won’t happen. Hopefully that changes next year.

…”3 miles away to be exact.”

That’s like driving from SPHS up to the Abbey, That has lots of potential for a big rivalry.
Don’t know if they still do it, but the Kannapolis – Concord rivalry involves the winning team taking possession of a large bell, that’s on a platform with wheels.
Hopefully, in the future, there’ll be something like that between South Point and Cramer.
