We donāt have the football tradition of the Maiden Blue Devils. We have to take every break we can get.
Honest question though, does this affect RPI in anyway? Are home wins counted less than road wins?

Go back and look at Maidens JV team last year. That was one heck of a scrappy bunch that didnāt like to lose. They were in a war every week. I enjoyed every minute watching those boys playā¦.wellā¦except the Hibriten game. That Hibriten bunch had the best JV team I saw last year. Hibriten is definitely a 4a team thatās going to be tough to beat this fall. They got to be loaded!

1000%ā¦.my youngest is playing tackle football for the first time as a rising 7th grader this year. Iām interested to see if he will like it once they start hitting with pads. I honestly donāt know whether he will or not. It is not for everyone and thatās ok. At least he is a good basketball player
He played JV last year as a freshman. I do think he has the potential to be pretty good.
I have seen some legit basketball players play one year of really good football and then stop to focus on basketball only. They were good slot receivers and potential starting quarterbacks.1000%ā¦.my youngest is playing tackle football for the first time as a rising 7th grader this year. I vividly remember seeing those players play those positions. I also remember a starting TE/DE stop playing football to concentrate on basketball. I also remember a backup quarterback who was quite good stop playing and went to play the drums in the band.
Here, we can expect to lose someone to Lincoln charter from time to time. So can the other Lincoln County schools?
Sure donāt look forward to the day, but Iām afraid LCS, will be a force in football. Athletics appear to have a place at the table in that administration.
Considering their achievements in basketball and baseball, itās obvious they have a keen interest in football as well. Already theyāve brought in an accomplished coach, along with being in the process of constructing a new football stadium. Losing players to them will more than likely increase right after theyāve had a good year in football, which much to my dismay will probably be sooner than later.
These charter schools can have long tentacles, which could make surrounding schools, even some that are out of county, susceptible.
I wouldnāt call any names here, but one of those schools rhymes with Hayden (pronounced Hay dun).
