It's so bizarre to me, how seemingly obsessed with trans folks some people are. It almost makes me wonder if they are going through some things themselves.
Don't be ridiculous. Your comment doesn’t even make sense. It’s like something a 3-year old would come up with. I don’t like your opinion so something must be wrong with you. Do you use that same logic when someone makes a pro trans athlete statement?

It’s his passive aggressive way of saying he thinks the topic is silly

I'm not saying you, personally, Pat or for that matter dcd. But don't you think some posters here (and people in general) are really fixated on this topic?

It's not exactly like liberals are starting these topics. Or is that also ridiculous to consider?

Why hasnt anyone here called for Cunningham to shut up and just play basketball? We are on page 2 of the thread and nobody has said she needs to just play the sport she is good at and not talk about social issues.
^I kid, I kid. I accept this is somehow different from when other athletes talk about social issues, and that difference is somehow distinct and meaningful.

Anyways...its cool that she wants a spouse that will help lead her to Christ. Its cool that she said she supports women. Its cool that she wants to athletically compete against only biological females.

This gif comes to mind when I see yet another discussion about trans athletes in sports that was started because of some outrage culture social media clip...

Leftist: "Hey, we should let these men who cosplay as women play against women in sports."

Normal Person: "Um, no we shouldn't. On it's face, that's a completely idiotic idea. Women should get their own spaces to compete."

Leftist: "wHy aRe yoU So oBSessEd wiTh trANs peOPle?!?!?!?!?!?"

Uh maybe when presidential candidates stop advocating for free sex change operations for prisoners, an entire party votes against banning men in women's sports , SCOTUS nominees can't answer the question "what is a woman". And for the record it potentially affects every female child (and their families) in this country that wants to participate in GIRL'S sports
To be clear I want those candidates (who perform poorly for national politics btw) to move on. Find something impactful to campaign on and let sports leagues make their own decisions (based on the input from their participants).

And no it doesn't impact nor potentially impact every female child. That's as dramatic as the other position is nonsense. I hope that feeling gets sorted out so people can move on from that perspective as well. 1) SCOTUS ruled state bans are legal. That takes care of much of the population for your worry. 2) For any state/league that allows it, consider the likelihood.

It's just not something that would ever get me worked up for my own daughter given the odds even if my state didn't have a ban. And in the thousand lifetimes she'd have to live for it to ever be a real risk to her physical safety, I'd pull her out and lobby the league to change their rules.

IMO our governments and politicians need to leave situations of frequency such as this up to the few people it could ever impact to police things rather than do the national grandstanding purity test thing have going on for it right now.

But I get it - we live in a black and white world now. So we're left with one population that is horrible at assessing risk and another population that loves to talk about how tolerant and accepting they are for all people by catering to 0.005%, give or take a few thousandths, at the expense of the majority of girls/women. Apparently that kind of math wins elections in some districts. Make it make sense.

I think the problem is that about 80% of the country agrees that biological males shouldn’t play women’s sports but the people in charge either don’t have the balls (pardon the pun) or have people in charge who feel differently. Hence why politicians get involved.

It’s just common sense but we can’t do that.

Trump pit his fingers up E Jean Carroll in that dress shop across from his office. They proved that in court and you are comparing these two? Jesus
You are a special kind of stupid if you believed that happened and even more so if you believe anything was proven.

We used to be a proper country and if you desired to see the freaks among us you have to visit the carnival and pay for the privilege. Now we have troon congressional candidates claiming they have periods from their a**hole.

I can buy that. I'm sure some leagues were too scared to make the right decision - despite the overwhelming support for that decision. We fear lawyers at the expense of common sense.

I'd also bet that 80 would be closer to 95 if the holdouts would give it more than 2 seconds of thought and consider it solely on safety concerns over hurting a few sets of feelings they feel sympathetic to. While it's very very rare, a couple of girls have been injured in competition. Coincidence in those instances? Maybe. Very likely not.

Injury is definitely an issue in contact sports. I just look at it as a fairness thing. These girls/women have worked their whole life to achieve something like this and then watch some dude who thinks he’s a woman lap all of them and win.

I think there’s the issue too that we already have Title 9 and I think there are very few people who are against that law. Just enforce the law. This is one of the few cut and dry issues out there, but it has been turned into a gigantic mess.

Courts said otherwise and Trump has already paid her millions and more might have to be paid because he did it. Supreme Court even refused to hear the case. You my dear sir are a fool if you still support a man that is in Epstein files thousands of times and bragged to random strangers about grabbing women’s privates.
That one brag about Hollywood letting him grab women’s privates should have been enough but it’s not. Why?
I can be against transgenders playing women sports and still not support a 17n rapist and pedophile. At the very least he is protecting pedos. He said if he released the Epstein files some people would get hurt. Really? You good with that?

You and PrimeDog must live in the same adult care facilty. Do they spike your pudding with laxatives? Next time you spout off about the E Jean Carroll case you might want to actually read the details if you can stay awake that long.
