The most egregious thing on the course was giving Scheffler a free drop after he hit it into the bush. WTF was that?
Disagree but to each his own.Side note I can’t stand nbc golf coverage - cbs does it so much better
I thought Laparkafan’s comment was something we could all agree on. Once again, I’m wrong. LolDisagree but to each his own.
Figures rightI thought Laparkafan’s comment was something we could all agree on. Once again, I’m wrong. Lol
Congrats, you cracked the case. What’s wrong, no sense of humor?Thats AI. Good grief.
Dumbest analogy ever.Is it a penalty if you accidentally knock the ball off the tee during a practice swing?
That was a total jokeThe most egregious thing on the course was giving Scheffler a free drop after he hit it into the bush. WTF was that?
I don’t think it is under the context of intent.Dumbest analogy ever.
I'm fairly certain it used to count as a stroke but it was changed a while back.I thought Laparkafan’s comment was something we could all agree on. Once again, I’m wrong. Lol
Bryson=LIV=Bad
He deserved the penalty. He improved his shot by stomping down the growth around his ball. Even if it was unintentional (appeared intentional) or accidental, it doesn’t matter. If someone else reported it, you can be mad about that, but it doesn’t invalidate the correctness of the ruling.
I appreciate your take. I don’t think he’s a cheat per se, but he did break the rule regardless of intent. I don’t claim to know his intent. I don’t think it should stain his reputation either. The move to LIV did that for me. And I say that without prejudice- they can all kiss off as far as I’m concerned.I'm pretty neutral on Bryson. I wish LIV never happened, but I don't blame the guys for going to get paid. I'd probably root for Bryson over Rory, but it's close.
With that said, my honest take on it is this: The camera angles I saw of him stomping around back there didn't definitively show him knocking down the grass in his swing plane. But it sure as hell looked like they were stomped down which I'm assuming came from him. Scheffler said Bryson has never been a cheat - and I take him at his word on that. Overall, I'm fine with the penalty but I don't think it should stain Bryson's reputation.
