Rutgers commit James Cocozzo set to reclassify to 2026, will join program this season
Rutgers Football's top offensive line commit in the 2027 class, James Cocozzo will reclassify to 2026 and enroll early.
Linemen need time to get stronger and bigger. It's great that he's getting started with his career at Rutgers. But doubtful he sees the field for two or three years.
Love that he’s getting in early. Time in the room and proper rehab will serve this kid well.
A lot kids now a days repeat eighth grade and have enough credits to graduate by the time they are done with junior year. A lot of the senior year courses are just electives at this point. Can anybody explain 're-classifying" ? When I was finishing my junior year of high school, could I have "re-classified" and graduated?
I remember one case where a dude had reclassified to stay an extra year in high school, and then reclassified again to go back to his original class. But it seems like that's not this.
Just wondering. I know all programs and many kids do it.
Congrats to this young man, and good luck to him at Rutgers...
Thank you for the explanation. Obviously I never thought of that!A lot kids now a days repeat eighth grade and have enough credits to graduate by the time they are done with junior year. A lot of the senior year courses are just electives at this point.
