Who wins out? After snubbing Dan Patrick and being prompted by Silver to suspend Alyssa Thomas for her actions? Will she last the full season? Return next year?
Engelbert needs to go. WNBA owners need to make it happen before the 2027 season. Weak leadership is killing the league’s image.
What in the world makes anyone think Clark would abandon her a lifelong dream to play in the WNBA? She has stated this on multiple occasions.I hope CC goes and plays in Europe and then the WNBA crumbles back to pre-CC ratings
Clark is just not on the right team, one that will utilize her skills the right way in order to make her and her team better. This organization is all wrong for her top to bottom, starting with Dunn and going all the way down to the Head Coach. Throw in all of the stoppages from injuries and subsequent disruption of playing time, then this is what you end up with.Wow
If the reports are true that Silver had to persuade Engelbert to suspend Thomas.
Then I’m beginning to think that Engelbert has it in for CC.
I hope CC goes and plays in Europe and then the WNBA crumbles back to pre-CC ratings
Just wake up from a coma? JK.Wow

I think the biggest thing is Engelbert feels the pressure from the old guard both players and COACHES, (many of whom played 10-15 years ago) to not let all of this growth and $$$$ be about one transcendent player. They all feel it diminishes what they gave to the game. To a point , I get it. That doesn't change the fact that they're letting their own bias get in the way of taking full advantage of what CC22 could have brought to the league. As for the refs part of it is they just aren't up to the task as a group, and Clark isn't helping herself with the way she exaggerates the contact and her blowing up at the refs in front of everyone.Just wake up from a coma? JK.
At this point one has to be in serious denial not to realize there's some kind of quiet plan to keep CC in her place.
The WNBA has successfully reinforced more negative (and arguably accurate) stereotypes than one could have imagined. It's laughable.I think the biggest thing is Engelbert feels the pressure from the old guard both players and COACHES, (many of whom played 10-15 years ago) to not let all of this growth and $$$$ be about one transcendent player. On the wrong team because she's injured?Clark is just not on the right team, one that will utilize her skills the right way in order to make her and her team better. What makes you think her moving to another team would make this all better? She’s playing with 2 other all stars. Look at the results of her 1st year after the all star break and that was also after coming off of playing almost 40 games in college. We can argue that Whites system isn’t great for her but they are still scoring a bunch of points. Where is she going to go where they just let her do whatever she wants? And then will that just automatically make it all better? Her body is also betraying her. She’s gotten the **** kicked out of her for 2 1/2 years now and can’t stay healthy.Clark is just not on the right team, one that will utilize her skills the right way in order to make her and her team better. Excuse time will never be overIf Clark moves to another team, especially one she picks, all the weight in the world will be on her. Excuse time will be over. She better magically start shooting a lot better and clean up the slop passes.
Yes, two all stars but the rest of the roster is Meh. too much dead weight with contracts that don't fit their production. Several of these teams (like the Valkeries) may not have all stars (they have one) but they have better complimentary pieces up and down the bench. The other issue just seems like the way White wants to run this team is not a great fit for her. Add to that for her being so focused (supposedly) on defense they aren't very good at it. Last night with Mitchell constantly ending up isolated on their post player under the basket is a perfect example. Part of that goes back to the roster. They have NO post presence on defense, other then Boston and she's playing out of position. Another coaching issue there, where they want Boston to shoot more three's which takes their best rebounder out of position to help on the boards. What makes you think her moving to another team would make this all better? Any chance that her shooting issues have anything to do with her injuries the last year plus?If Clark moves to another team, especially one she picks, all the weight in the world will be on her. Excuse time will be over. She better magically start shooting a lot better and clean up the slop passes.
No reputable middle school would want that piece of garbage running an intramural league. I wrote to Engelbert a few weeks ago and explained that to her. I haven't heard back. LOLWho wins out? After snubbing Dan Patrick and being prompted by Silver to suspend Alyssa Thomas for her actions? Will she last the full season? Return next year?
What's silly is for the WNBA to allow CC to be racially targeted from day one. What's silly is for CC to have, overnight, turned the W from an unknown nothing into something, and CC putting her life on the line to play basketball. What's silly is printing a 30-year celebration poster and leaving the only reason anyone gives a damn about the league out of the picture. Oh, there's plenty of silliness, stupidity, racism, and outright hatred in the W, something I've never heard of in any professional sports league before. The Blacks and lesbians who think they own the league are so jealous of the White girl from Iowa that they can't stand it. They've assaulted her over and over and over and over again since the moment she entered the league, and the W has stood by and done nothing publicly while promoting such attacks behind the scenes. What in the world makes anyone think Clark would abandon her a lifelong dream to play in the WNBA? She has stated this on multiple occasions.
Play in Europe? Please. Clark is a highly competitive athlete. Nothing in her past even slightly suggests that she is a quitter; that she will abandon her life ambitions right in the prime of her career. It’s silly.
That's certainly one important factor. Had CC been drafted by a team--and I have no idea which one that would have been--that wanted to help her succeed and maximize her skills for the benefit of the team, as Lisa Bluder did at Iowa, CC would have been unstoppable, just like she was at Iowa.Clark is just not on the right team, one that will utilize her skills the right way in order to make her and her team better. You're right. And the Earth is flat. This is so ridiculous.
AT got suspended because she's a repeat offender.
The action against against CC was not a suspendable offense.
Her suspension (or non-suspension) had nothing to do with CC
Hey, Alyssa Thomas, I didn't know you posted here. But just as on the court, I think your racist bias is showing. If Clark moves to another team, especially one she picks, all the weight in the world will be on her. Excuse time will be over. She better magically start shooting a lot better and clean up the slop passes.
The injuries that you questioned ever happened?Any chance that her shooting issues have anything to do with her injuries the last year plus?

But when the "leadership" of the entire league is out to getcha, well, that's a little bigger issue.
The Valkyries are a team that everything starts with defense. Their roster is not better than the Fever. The top 5-6 of the Fever are better than they are. But yes, they have a clear idea of who they are and I love their coach. However, if CC was their starting pt guard would we all be bitching about she was on the wrong team because they are defense first? Now, I think White is not the right coach for CC but someone tell me where she’s the perfect fit and how she would lead them to a championship at this current point. We can’t just say, oh, this team doesn’t work. They already fired a coach for her after her 1st year.Yes, two all stars but the rest of the roster is Meh. too much dead weight with contracts that don't fit their production. If you were stuck in a septic tank and couldn't get out, what would you do? Have someone send down fast food, a TV, and some bed linen? Or, like most people, holler your freaking head off for a rope? What makes you think her moving to another team would make this all better?

LA. Remember you heard it here first. If it doesn't happen, I'll eat all the crow you can serve up.Where is she moving to that’s going to make this magically better?
Her and Plum would make a really fun backcourt. They couldn’t guard anyone but they would score a lot of points.LA. Remember you heard it here first. If it doesn't happen, I'll eat all the crow you can serve up.![]()
Get PS to come in wearing a wig and no one would notice. A triple threat. Her and Plum would make a really fun backcourt. They couldn’t guard anyone but they would score a lot of points.
