Haha! Love that.

Do parents now even ground their kids longer than 10 minutes let alone 10 whole days?
I think it is because a grounded kid, depending on the age, is even more ******* annoying.

It is one thing is they just hide in their room all day, thinking about how they will kill themselves and how "you will all be sorry"

But when they are like 9 years old and grounded...so they just bug YOU all day...**** that. Here is your ipad kid.

I laugh, but you're spot on.

Parents are such pussies now (my household included). Not only with "giving in" to their kids but for allowing them to be whiney & annoying. I don't blame the kids. They know what to do to get what they want, it's human nature. If it didn't work or if there were further consequences then they wouldn't do it (as often).

It is so true!

Like, Here, take your ipad...or go play your video games...or here is your phone back or here are the keys back to the car. BECAUSE YOU ARE ANNOYING.

The problem is parents today create this nice environment where your kids actually want to be at home and around you...

Back in the good ole days kids just hid in the basement all day or in their room or left the house as early as the could each day...the average time spent with parents when I was growing up was MAYBE 45 minutes each day...maybe.

Now...parents are so nice and fun that kids want to be around them.

They are heroes but you could make claim the small town volunteer fire fighters are almost bigger. They aren’t getting paid but basically take the same risks.

Have you ever run across the UNICORN of American heroes? That person would be a full-time firefighter who is a part-time teacher on their days off, and also has a small farm as a hobby?
Soooo close!
I coached with a guy (great ******* guy too) that was a fireman (a captain but they are all captains so I don't think that matters) and on some of his MANY days off, he would sub at the school.

As far as I know, he did not do any farming though!

He would always laugh about how much money he made and how much he would keep making after he retired. He was awesome! I loved coaching with him.

Did he/you coach golf? That might be unicorn #2 since he didn't farm.

I agree with pretty much everything you said.

Your very last sentence is funny to me. "a rigid definition". You mean the actual definition, right? Not some watered down, loosey goosey definition where most things could be considered "socialism".
Has society ever changed or added to the meaning of a word? Ever? Sometimes it takes just a tiny bit of critical thinking when having a discussion.

I think what happens (well, I know what happens) is that people get so anti-something...that they can't even sort of admit that they are actually okay with that "something" in small doses.

It is like males that are super anti-gay...that they can't even admit that another man could possibly be handsome. Because they are worried that they might "catch gay"

Farmers don't want to "catch socialism"

No way man! I'm not in your category of "super anti-gay" but I am a conservative who wishes people would keep their sex lives out of my living room, out of my personal space in public.

But c'mon.... you give me Clooney and Pitt in Ocean's 11-13 with those $4,000 suits, cool shades and a strut... I tell my wife I have some dude admiration going on. Russell Crowe, Stallone or Reynolds all ripped up - I tip my cap. Fully appreciate the bro's who got it going on

I'm gonna prove i'm not really a good looking man.

Met my wife on Match.. she had been on there for 2 days, and had over a 150 guys shoot her a message in that time.

I had been on for 5 years and didn't get 15 women combined, to reply to me when I tried stalking, I mean talking, to them.

Luckily, she was one of the very few that did reply, and to this day I thank her for liking me back!! Tru dat.

Sure. Like how some tried to change the meaning of "woman". Their changed or added meaning to "woman" didn't make any sense just like yours with "socialism" doesn't.

If that's how you're trying to correlate your "farm subsidies is a form socialism", then what you're saying is that if a heterosexual dude thought another dude was handsome, then that heterosexual dude would be gay in some sort of fashion, even if in the slightest sense.

I am 100% okay with that correlation. I find a lot of dudes attractive and would do some stuff...above the pants. Only!

Probably.

Bad example. Man and woman is clear cut. This is kind of a football board. Use football as an example. You think how the average U.S. citizen described football in 1922 would be the exact same as 2026? You are the guy who wakes up in 2026 and is upset because people have 2 point conversions and don't have leather helmets in their definition of football.

Again...you can be a little bit socialist...you can be a little bit gay...you can be a little bit religious...

Socialism is not all or nothing.
