not to be argumentative, but before all this great technology, you voted in person, I always had to show photo ID, all ballots were paper- no machines, mail in for military and those who couldn't vote in person, and believe this or not, we knew the winners by the morning papers the next day.
Good? Has nothing to do with going around Supreme Court decisions to try and do what they said you can't do. That's the anti-democratic part. You people love some ends justify the means.

I don't think I justifies anything. i'm just pointing out a fact relative to pur voting process, We incorporated the vote by machine because it's so supposed to be more secure and efficient...OK, that makes sense to me. But back in the 70'80' we voted in person, on paper ballots, and somehow we didn't have all these debates about stolen elections/cheating, and we did have the results in time to be printed in the next day's morning paper.

No supreme court decisions ( don't know what that had to do with my post), no anti democratic part..just a statement. Don't want to accept it, fine.

Dude

Forty-nine out of fifty U.S. states utilize paper ballots or voting machines that produce a voter-verified paper record for the vast majority of their voters.

According to tracking data from Verified Voting and the Brennan Center for Justice, over 95% of all American voters cast their ballots using paper. This marks a massive nationwide shift away from older, paperless electronic voting equipment over the last decade.

I don't know why you guys on the left seem so upset over a simple statement on election process back in the 70' and 80's. I'm not castigating the process today just making a simple statement of fact....why so defensive/

Ned. I mean this respectfully.…Pull your head out of your a$$.

The reason we have these debates is because Trump can’t admit he lost fair and square. The evidence is VERY clear. There were 30 lawsuits lost or dismissed in Georgia alone. Independent non partisan groups audited the results. The Republican Georgia state apparatus audited the results. They recounted PAPER ballots. They did an electronic recount.

There was no cheating significant enough to sway the election.

Maybe you should finally realize that the guy you voted for IS NOT A GOOD HUMAN BEING. Nor is he a good president or a good American citizen. He is only out for himself.

Because you're implying that something is wrong with the process when it's more secure than ever. Back in your day, we didn't have the election security safeguards we have today and it was a lot easier to cheat. Your comment about not having debates about stolen elections back then also wouldn't be happening now, save for one demented sociopath. He's the problem, not the process. Open your eyes.

Click the link at the bottom for more from Trump's ex-DHS chief of staff who helped oversee election security in his first term. .

"I can tell you now, before Trump says a single word, he’s full of ****.

Pardon my language. But I’m virtually certain that whatever he presents on Thursday, it will be twice-warmed leftovers of information, cherry-picked and recast to tell a story our intelligence agencies never told because it was never true. Indeed, the president appears poised to make it sound like a foreign adversary, specifically China, took away the White House from him by helping Joe Biden win. If the Big Lie was bad, this will be even Bigger because now he’s might name the actual boogeyman that has eluded him, over years of delusional claims about an unfair loss.

Before you get caught up in his stream of lies, here’s what actually happened in 2020 when it comes to foreign interference. Yes, America’s adversaries tried to meddle in our elections during Trump’s first term and amidst his re-election. Russia did. Iran did. China did. We knew it, we tracked it, and the U.S. government declassified much of that information years ago. But our agencies were unanimous on a crucial point: none of those bad guys changed votes. Not in 2018. Not in 2020.

Chris Krebs, my former colleague and Trump’s own cybersecurity chief, said it plainly by calling the 2020 election the “most secure in American history.” At the very least, it was the most scrutinized in American history, leaving experts able to say with high confidence that no foreign adversary affected the outcome. That angered Trump. He wanted to say someone stole victory from him. But Chris Krebs stood in the way of the Big Lie with a simple truth. And for doing so, the president fired Chris by tweet.

I’m going to make a revelation, right here, that I want you to remember on Thursday when this sideshow begins again.

Trump never wanted election security; he wanted selective election security. In 2018, ahead of the midterms, we briefed him on the full threat landscape. Multiple countries were planning to interfere. We advised the White House that we needed to expose all of those actors and threaten them with consequences. Trump seemed uninterested in calling them out, with one exception. He was keenly interested in exposing any country that wanted to interfere in ways that would be unhelpful to his party’s chances, specifically: China.

And wouldn’t you know it — that September, Trump stood before the UN General Assembly and delivered sweeping warnings about Chinese interference. Yet he said next to nothing about Russia, the country that had actually run a sophisticated operation to help him in 2016 and was gearing up to do it again. We were gobsmacked. So were Members of Congress briefed on the same intelligence."

It didn't matter to you that all the top elections officials in Georgia voted for Trump and it wouldn't matter to you if all the groups were partisan Republicans, the count would have been the same and you still wouldn't trust it because there's something wrong with you. I'm not sure where that crack began because you used to be a lot more normal, but I hope you figure it out for our country's sake because Trump does not own America and he won't be in charge for long so we need you people to come back to reality.

AOC on Trump’s Thursday address: I don’t think we should be contributing to the platforming of lies about our elections. Many of these outlets often receive transcripts, and I think we have an ethical obligation not to air things that undermine our elections and are not rooted in fact.

Let me get this straight:

Trump was President when this happened.

His CIA and FBI did nothing about it (and evidence of it wasn't mentioned in any of his hundreds of lawsuits).

He hasn't brought it up since.

Trump went to China and told Xi how much he respected and admired him since then.

And now it's a bombshell dropping 90 days before the midterms.

No one is buying this BS.

head far from ***. I just made a statement....you seemingly don't like it. But what I posted is the way things were, I'm not complaining about the way things are. My point, which obviously has been missed, is that you can have elections where Id is required, paper ballots are used, people vote in person and ballots are counted and results known in time for publication in next day's morning paper.

We've done it for decades, so no reason we can't do it again.

my eyes are open. You're so defensive about anything that might be different from the agenda, that you read things that aren't there. I wasn't implying anything. I just made the point about how we used to have elections..no more, no less. So, at least from my perspective there is absolutely no reason why we need to wait 2 weeks or longer to get election results. We accept that, but that's not the way it was. We've "fixed" the system that makes it more inefficient.

And, it's not just the demented sociopath...Stacy Abrams, for just one example, still hasn't conceded.

It's real simple why NBC and ABC won't cover Trump's national address tonight.

These propaganda networks over the last 6 years:

- Pretended like the 2020 election was the "most secure in American history"
- Asked no questions about Joe Biden getting 82 million votes in a no-show, basement-run campaign
- Did not explain how Biden failed to win 18/19 bellwether counties but "won" the election
- Or how we KNOW that every single mail-in ballot cast matches an actual voter eligible to vote in 2020
- Or running cover for the J6 "insurrection" that effectively put an end to election integrity challenges
- Or why BLM rioted for months and k*lled dozens of people and only the J6 riot where no protester k*lled anyone matters
- Or why Democrats challenged presidential elections THREE TIMES from 2000-2016 but only GOP challenges are inciting an "insurrection"
- Or addressing why 95%+ of 2020 election challenges were thrown out on standing or did not go to full trial
- Or why President Trump was mass de-platformed for calling for peace early afternoon on January 6
- Or why SCOTUS summarily denied the Texas-led lawsuit to examine election law changes in swing states
- Or why nearly every major media figure who questions voting machines winds up getting sued into oblivion
- Or why Trump's allies were criminalized for legally contesting the 2020 election
- Or why only Republicans are "election deniers" and not Hillary Clinton or Stacey Abrams or other Democrats

You tell me why these networks don't want to cover any primetime national addresses about America's elections.

Especially one given by President Donald Trump.

It's because they were all complicit in rigging the 2020 election.

ABC, NBC, and CBS declined to air a prime-time speech by then-President Joe Biden in 2022. [1, 2]
The networks chose not to broadcast his September 1, 2022, address at Independence Hall live. Executives determined that the speech, which focused on threats to democracy and was given shortly before the midterm elections, was too political in nature rather than a strictly newsworthy, official communication. Instead of carrying the speech, the major broadcast networks opted to air regular programming, such as reruns of Law and Order on NBC and Young Sheldon on CBS, while ABC broadcast a game

Cheating was different back then and could only steal something by about 1-2 percent. You had the busing of dementia patients to booths where they were assisted with their vote! You had the van taking people to multiple polls. You had ballot machines in personal cars. You had judges in democrat precincts holding the vote open past midnight by emergency order.

BUT nothing on the scale of the mail in drop boxes where people were dropping in 30 ballots at a time and the same person making multiple drops. I guess they had a lot of family!

The SAVE act is needed now more than ever.
What new did he share? Trump didn't even try to claim that there was fraud, his chosen expert Solomon admitted that there were no changed votes. This speech admitted that Biden won, while still trying to say the code words for dumbass MAGAS like you.

This was really bad for MAGA. What he actually admitted was that Russia worked to get him elected.
