Fun trivia question from Gary Cohen last night. He said that Seth Lugo (surprisingly) has the fourth most lifetime pitching appearances in Citi Field.
Who are the top three? Two are fairly obvious IMO, one is quite difficult.

I'm wondering why Ron Darling or whomever would make a distinction of a record between Shea and Citi Field.
Gary made the distinction because Seth Lugo was pitching, who was (according to Gary) fourth on the Citi Field list.
Forget if Ron or Keith was in the booth, but they both keep score. Hope they had a ready supply of pencils/pens, given the 28 runs scored.
After getting shelled yesterday, Austin Warren has been informed that he is injured and will be placed on the 15 day IL. No word yet on replacement.

I know nothing of Xzavion Curry except he's got a really cool name. He does have some MLB experience - 62 appearances over 4 years with Cleveland and Miami. So we'll see.

In 2017 Dobnak graduated from a small college and went undrafted. Didn't even get a call from one of the major Indy leagues. Wound up signing with the Utica Unicorns of some league in Michigan consisting of just four teams. The Twins found his YouTube highlight video, liked it, and signed him for a bonus of $500. Yeah, five hundred dollars. Nine years later, he's shutting down the Mets.
C'est la vie, say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell. (You have to be one of the old folks to catch that reference.)

Question for those more in the know on the roster and status of players.
Seems the starting pitching is in worse shape than relief pitching, but there are some rough spots with relievers.
Is a pitcher getting sent down based on this move with Hammer?
This is what happens when you treat pitching like a disease. Stearns is so afraid of paying for quality pitchers, it's no wonder the Mets aren't worse. Then again, last is last. Stearns' approach screams small (Milwaukee) market because that's what he was told to do. You can't change the stripes on a Zebra. When you think you're the smartest person in the room, usually you're not.
Yes, a pitcher must be optioned, DFA'd, or put on IL. That is by rule. On a 26 man roster, you are allowed a maximum of 13 pitchers. Can't add a 14th and go short a position player.
Stupid rule.
