Did I like his message and his style, absolutely, and if the only things we knew about him were what we knew last week, I would have hoped he won, you're damn right because after what he did for our country, I felt he deserved a second chance. The people of Maine agreed as they came out in force after the weeks-long beating he took in the media because it felt like over-kill.
You don't know what's in my heart and mind because you're not the dang Oracle of Delphi so your opinion means nothing to me, but all I know is he can't move forward with these types of charges over his head. If they're true, we should see charges being filed and he can defend himself in court. If he's cleared, he's still young enough to run for office in the future so let the chips fall where they may.
My point remains - the Left takes care of their problem candidates(see Swalwell and Platner). The Right does not(see Trump and Paxton).
