I have no idea.

His friends are getting death threats, based on no evidence at all. Nobody knows anything at this point. No matter what side of the political aisle you’re on, we can’t consider this normal. It’s like brain damage or something.
Too many people make their livelihood by stirring the pot, regardless if it’s true or not. And unfortunately there will never be evidence sufficient to shut up this crowd.

Was in South Padre for the 4th.. had both my kids (7 & 5) in lifejackets when they wanted to go in the water without me. Saw 8-12 year olds out on the second sand bar with their boogie boards during a red flag... not smart at all. Went out to dive for sand dollars past the second sand bar and the cross shore current was pretty insane.. I'm very comfortable in the water, surf the texas coast, and swim for exercise and I still wore an inflatable belt pack as a precaution. Mother nature does not discrimnate. Rip currents aren't about your capability to swim.. it's about not panicking, can you just float and let it take you, then do you have the cardiovascular ability to swim back in from 50-300 yards..
This kid was a football player, and I'm assuming a fine swimmer, but you are 100% correct. None of that athleticism, upper body strength, advanced lung capacity, etc. necessarily matters one bit. One of our own former State football players, Jeff Easterwood, got pulled under by a riptide and didn't make it back. He died, tragically, and was in that tide because he was trying to save a little girl in the same current. I think the girl lived, which is a great story and makes Jeff a hero. But still a tragedy that I think about every time my kids go out in the Gulf.

The worst part is a lot of the racist blacks commenting are from Chicago or Atlanta or Connecticut and its obvious they have never been on the river or in the Gulf. Totally ignorant comments. Who doesn't stand around in waist deep water with your phone in your pocket? And of course the people are all Klan descendants.

Most of it is from people spread out across the country but there is some lowlife in Ocean Springs trying to make make money off of this. Acting like he's somehow connected and making sure there is justice for the family. I mean, lots of lowlifes are trying to make money off of it by chasing clicks, but a little more galling for somebody in the community to be doing it.

What's really pathetic is that from what I understand, most of them don't have enough engagement to make anything off of facebook or instagram. There are exceptions with some stuff I've seen already having followers (that will still only net them hundreds of dollars off of it). But the rest are doing this in the hopes that they get enough followers or engagement to monetize their posts in the future. Not sure if X is better and if they're posting the same stuff there or on some other platform, but they aren't even selling their soul. They are so pathetic that they are donating it in hopes for the opportunity to sell it later.

There is good info on there but you have to sift through all the other BS
I don't really use reddit directly, but there have been several times when it shows up in search results that it's useful. Also seems to be pretty useful for travel info. Do have to still sift through stupid people, but I'd say like 75% of the content is useful and gives either tips for a particular place or gives you a general idea of the quality of a place.

It was very useful in planning my last vacation, and you can find some very good subs on specific things.
