Joe Girardi and Paul O'Neill have both said quite a few things about the lack of hitting that were very informative. The strike out totals over the last couple weeks have been very alarming.
I think we should let Goldschmidt be our hitting coach.
I saw the lineup on social media yesterday afternoon and was like....what in the actual ****. I get that with a lefty starting they wanted to get all the right handed batters in they could but good lord that was a split squad early spring training lineup.I made a mistake in my previous post. The Yankees had 17 Ks for the 2nd game in a row. The first team in the history of MLB to have 17 Ks two games in a row. Let that soak in. In history!
When an entire team is in a massive slump you have to wonder what in the hell is the hitting coach doing? They show him in the dugout and I never see him talking to the players.
I also wonder if the hitting coach has screwed all their swings up. Goldschmidt struck out 4 times and is in the worst slump of his career, as is Bellinger who is 7 for his last 72 and only 1 RBI in over a month. Joe Girardi said last night he had never seen an entire team all struggle at the plate at the same time. Ive got 20 years on Joe and I've never seen it either.I saw the lineup on social media yesterday afternoon and was like....what in the actual ****. Goldy's first or second at bat he looked utterly lost and completely befuddled. Now, father time has certainly slowed him down a bit but you are talking about a guy that has been a pro's pro hitter for a long time. And he looked like he was blind at the plate.I also wonder if the hitting coach has screwed all their swings up. Did you see Cabellero just drop the bat when he was batting? He does some strange things. He also struck out 4 times.Goldy's first or second at bat he looked utterly lost and completely befuddled. It was honestly painful to watch.
