It’s happening in NYC. The city owned grocery stores in other cities failed miserably. That stuff has been "proposed" for 100 years.

Of course they did. It’s happening in NYC. The city owned grocery stores in other cities failed miserably.
Farmers don’t get checks just for being farmers. They get checks for market problems often caused by either governmental policy or natural disasters. I will note that virtually all socialist programs have been started by one party and that overall farmers would be better off in the long run if government had never intervened. That’s an EXTREMELY long discussion. Farm programs have artificially inflated land prices and rents. Is there anything more socialist then giving farmers checks just for being a farmer? It makes me laugh reading people like you talk about how the sky is falling because of NYC, while ignoring the blatant socialism in your own community. So common in this country today. Everyone is fine with socialism until someone who they don't like benefits.
This country has problems, always has, always will, but it is still great, despite what the drama queens on all sides say.
Haha Tons of businesses and people negatively affected by governmental policy. They don't get check after check. I would say they do indeed get checks for just being farmers. I just wanted to point that out, since amazingly I didn’t see it in your anti-socialism rant.Farmers don’t get checks just for being farmers. It is like I have said over and over...The American Farmer complains the second most...behind American Teacher.Haha Tons of businesses and people negatively affected by governmental policy. GD man. You are better at bringing fireman into every discussion than my wife is at bringing work into every discussion. HaIt is like I have said over and over...The American Farmer complains the second most...behind American Teacher.
Teachers act like they are saving lives each day and that every kid in their classroom is the most poverty stricken malnourished behavior ridden kid ever...And farmers act like they don't get government assistance and that they are still using horses to pull a plow.
Then you have the firemen...they never ever ***** or complain...I wonder why...Oh yeah, they have the most amazing marketing department in the country and have convinced most Americans that their job is exactly like the fireman shows you see on TV.
Just wait until I post about "how that cashier looked at me at Target" the other day!GD man. You are better at bringing fireman into every discussion than my wife is at bringing work into every discussion. Ha
Socialism means government ownership or control of the means of production and distribution. Subsidies are not socialism. It makes me laugh reading people like you so supremely confident and being so supremely wrong. Is there anything more socialist then giving farmers checks just for being a farmer? Ehhh, socialism also include government involvement in the economy and things like healthcare and social security. Unemployment benefits...things like thatSocialism means government ownership or control of the means of production and distribution. Subsidies are not socialism. Again...there are a lot of moving parts of socialism. It is not just one thing and one thing only. I mean, you can argue that a minimum wage goes against capitalism and is closer to a socialistic policy.Bingo.
Subsidies are not socialism, as they primarily function as government financial assistance to private businesses or individuals to promote specific economic or social goals, while ownership of the means of production remains in private hands.
definition of socialism: An economic and political system where the means of production (resources, industries, and businesses) are collectively or publicly owned and managed, rather than privately owned.
It makes me laugh when people use AI for their answer. Redistributing wealth is absolutely socialism. A tiny portion of my tax dollars went towards propping up a group of people that couldn’t stay afloat without it. That is absolutely a form of socialism. And for the record I don't really care. I just want people, including them, to acknowledge it.Socialism means government ownership or control of the means of production and distribution. Subsidies are not socialism. I don't personally really consider VA care socialism. You earned it and it's very specific.Correct my if I’m wrong, but isn’t my free healthcare at the VA is technically a socialist principle? I don’t agree with most socialist principles, but I’m grateful for that one. Downside, it’s not the best quality. Though, the Omaha VA was phenomenal.
ZERO chance bud.It makes me laugh when people use AI for their answer. Redistributing wealth is absolutely socialism. Two things I'll be waiting for on my death bed:ZERO chance bud.
Except none of that is true. You are not well. The US as we know is cooked. A Mossad/Epstein compromised pedophile grifter who funnels in billions in crypto bribes is now the brand. Who incidentally got bent over the barrel by Iran in service of giving them 300 billion and doubling your gas prices while the smooth brains (well represented on this board) cheer on our collective demise because OwNiNg tHe lIbS.
You have the country you deserve. Dorks.
It was me. I have broken into countless garages. Not coincidently, I have control around 20% of the world supply of 1/2 inch and 10mm sockets. Two things I'll be waiting for on my death bed:
1. Farmers to admit they support socialism
2. The kids to fess up on who broke the garage window back in 2017
Haha That would actually make me feel a whole lot better since I still can't get those f*ckers to break after all these years. I admire their bond and willpower though. Siblings stick together. It was me. I have broken into countless garages. Not coincidently, I have control around 20% of the world supply of 1/2 inch and 10mm sockets.
AI? To find the most basic and universal definition of socialism? Pull out your Webster dictionary dipsh!t. As much as you don’t like it, you don’t get to define it you clown. I don’t even know why I try. In spite of you moobs, this country is fantastic. Please just stay the hell out of the way.It makes me laugh when people use AI for their answer. I would encourage you to actually read that Webster definition. Part of socialism is the distribution of wealth.AI? To find the most basic and universal definition of socialism? the “distribution of wealth” comes from collective or government ownership, which is what makes it socialism, and which is not the situation with farm subsidies.I would encourage you to actually read that Webster definition. Part of socialism is the distribution of wealth.
Agree, this country is great. Stay out of the way of what? Your rants? Stay out of the way of your emotional outbursts?
Have a great 4th!the “distribution of wealth” comes from collective or government ownership, which is what makes it socialism, and which is not the situation with farm subsidies.
Super straight forward and someone as smart as you can’t figure that out? You will be very disappointed on your death bed.
So edgy. Keep going. No one was a bigger socialist than Jesus
No one was a bigger socialist than Jesus
I don’t even know why I try.
Subsidies are an early tier of socialism. It involves the government "picking favorites" instead of letting the market decide, which means the government has a power lever that it should not have in a true market economy. Corporate has impregnated government, the two are now inseparable...and in a sense the term "socialism for the rich" is accurate.Socialism means government ownership or control of the means of production and distribution. Just the same as Education Credits on tax returns have artificially inflated tuition costs at your favorite college(s).Farmers don’t get checks just for being farmers. that was kinda strange, I guess it was about a new drug for old folksThat's right.
