In an unprecedented act of dissent, active-duty USAF Major Jason Watson was arrested on the Capitol steps after calling for the impeachment & removal of Donald Trump. Risking his career to uphold his constitutional oath, his arrest marks a historic moment. ✊🏻✊🏿✊🏼✊🏾✊🏽bsky.app

Not righteous at all. Infected with the woke mind virus. He is knowing full well the righteous "consequences"
You just described Fox viewing military and Veterans. Not righteous at all. Infected with the woke mind virus.
He was absolutely right and he made a great case for impeachment, just like your side would if we ever had a Dem president who was this obnoxiously, blatantly corrupt. If you cared about your country more than this waste of orange skin, you'd see it too.Not righteous at all. Infected with the woke mind virus.

You dumb (it has a “b” on the end! Did you know?). Pretty sure he “committed”.He didn't light himself on fire like the last leftist wackadoo who did this? Forgive me for not caring what he's crying about if he isn't even going to commit.
Nice of him to do it in uniform at least. It's gonna be quite the punishment coming.

Agree or disagree, he'll likely be facing a court martial (if it turns out he's a legitmate active duty member in uniform). As a military member, he's expected to remain politically neutral (at least while in uniform). They'll probably hit him with Articles 88, 92 possibly Article 134. So, ya he's goiong to have to face the music on this one. ...hopefully he doesn't have a family depending on his income and benefits. He didn't light himself on fire like the last leftist wackadoo who did this? He's a true Patriot.Agree or disagree, he'll likely be facing a court martial (if it turns out he's a legitmate active duty member in uniform). Agreeing with what he said doesn't automatically make him a true patriot. Patriotism isn't just about what you believe...it's also about honoring the responsibilities you voluntarily took on. If he's active duty and in uniform, those responsibilities include staying politically neutral. So, while I personally agree with much of what he said, I still think he exercised poor judgment and violated military regs. He's a true Patriot.
His Oath is to the Constitution so what he did represents that. The worst Commander in Chief absolutely needs to be removed.Agreeing with what he said doesn't automatically make him a true patriot. How is he violating military regs? Troops are sworn to protect the country, not the president.Agreeing with what he said doesn't automatically make him a true patriot. I don't disagree that his oath is to support and defend the Constitution. But that same oath doesn't give him a pass to ignore the rules that come with serving on active duty. If he truly believes the President should be impeached, there are lawful ways to express that. he can contact his members of Congress, write letters, vote, or (this is the biggest one---> speak as a private citizen. His Oath is to the Constitution so what he did represents that.
Whether this administration is the worst or whether impeachment is warranted is a completely separate discussion. Even if someone believes impeachment is justified, that doesn't automatically make it appropriate for an active-duty service member to publicly advocate for it while in uniform. What unlawful order was he, personnaly, given? The worst Commander in Chief absolutely needs to be removed.

If he chooses the path he's chosen, then he'll have to face the consequences, that's all I'm saying. He doesn't get a pass simple because we agree with his opinion. You served, Chis, you know this.

FWIW, I agree with your last sentence.
Did you not read my post. I explained it. Its because active-duty service members aren't allowed to engage in partisan political activity while in uniform or in a way that creates the appearance the military is taking a political position. We can't go vote in uniform, take part in protests, etc.How is he violating military regs? Troops are sworn to protect the country, not the president.
Full potatoHis Oath is to the Constitution so what he did represents that. The worst Commander in Chief absolutely needs to be removed.
No. They still have free speech rights, but those rights aren't unlimited while serving on active duty. The military places restrictions on certain political activities to preserve good order, discipline, and political neutrality. That's part of the job we ALL voluntarily accepted. (there's no draftSo your Freedom of Speech is taken away? I could see discharging him just like someone could lose their job.
Did I say I supported it? I'm not advocating for anything, so take the emotion out of it. I'm simply explaining that his particular actions do, in fact have consequences. When you serve, you do have to give up some personal freedoms. Hell, not once in 20 years did I get to choose the city I lived in--the miltiary chose that for me. Not once did Iget to decide, Na..I think I'll skip work today and go to the beach.Arrested? GTFO and with all due respect, F you for even supporting such a suggestion regardless of some "rules". He wasn't hurting anyone with his speech
That's like comparing a needle to a machette, Scrubbers. Geebus, man.

While I may agree with the the Major, just wanted to cosign your thoughts in this thread. Pretty easy to see why they would have these regulations as well. I can both think that the major is right, the regulations are right, and that the Major was brave doing what he did knowing the consequences. Whereas having trans members of the military IMO doesn't affect readiness, etc, having officers publicly speak on their commanders absolutely does (even if I believe they are correct).Did you not read my post. DoD Directive 1344.10 – Political Activities by Members of the Armed Forces.
- "A member of the Armed Forces on active duty may... express a personal opinion on political candidates and issues, but not as a representative of the Armed Forces." (Para. 4.1.1.1)
- "A member of the Armed Forces on active duty shall not... speak before a partisan political gathering, including any gathering that promotes a partisan political party, candidate, or cause." (Para. 4.1.2.5)
- "A member of the Armed Forces on active duty shall not... participate in any radio, television, or other program or group discussion as an advocate for or against a partisan political party, candidate, or cause." (Para. 4.1.2.6)
As for the second part of response. You're asking "Who does the oath serve?" I'm specifically talking about "What are active-duty members allowed to do while in uniform?" Those arent the same thing.
Like I told Chis, I agree with the Major. All I was pointing out is he's opening himself up to a court martial, and knowing how petty Pete is, I'm pretty certain if this guy is truly an active duty service memeber (I haven't looked him up) then he'd better be prepared to face the music. Nothing more.
Heck, a father can kill the guy who raped his daughter and we ALL support him. ...doesn't mean he wont be arrested and charged with murder.
...people on here act like I wrote the regs. It's clear why there is little constructive dialog on this forum. Very few want to listen, they just want to insult, name call, deflect, and just look for the next "gotcha" moment. While I may agree with the the Major, just wanted to cosign your thoughts in this thread. I never served (my pop did), so I always appreciate alaska guy's military expertise. Well... to be fair.... the OP is an anti American, terriost sympathizer, who has zero concept of democratic policy and wants to impose his beliefs on everyone like the cock sucking facist he is....people on here act like I wrote the regs. alaska guy was a former intelligence officer or some $h!t. It's just entertaining when dumb@$$es try to argue with him (at least on that topic) and get effing owned. Hence, grab your popcorn. Signalgate was solid entertainment. MAGAs got destroyed. Is the intelligence leak mention some lore I'm not aware of?
The unemployment line. What do you think should be coming for him?
Geesh, Whiskey. Thanks for coloring in my point. Good grief, man.Well... to be fair.... the OP is an anti American, terriost sympathizer, who has zero concept of democratic policy and wants to impose his beliefs on everyone like the cock sucking facist he is.
So.....you know.
You're funny ghee. Sorry I get triggered on that topic. The double standard between the IC and politicians is probably my biggest gripe (don't get me started). Oh, and I was an Intelligence Analyst (not officer). I retired an E-7 in 2013, then became a defense contractor at NSA until 2021. Now I'm just scrub contractor with nothing higher than a Secret clearance.alaska guy was a former intelligence officer or some $h!t. Ya think there might be a few maga types in the military that would speak their mind if they didnt know to **** their mouth?
In the military....
Sorry bruv.... Just **** posting while starting my day.....Geesh, Whiskey. Thanks for coloring in my point. Good grief, man.
"Very few want to listen, they just want to insult, name call, deflect, and just look for the next "gotcha" moment."
I'm not saying it's easy (I often have a "twattwaffle" typed out), but if this country is ever going to work towards compromise and peace, we have to stop being the MSM and political pawns they want us to be--seperated into good vs evil categories.
