I live in a low rain area, but all of my neighbors that have built these systems have used 40k gallon tanks. They stay full most of the year with little problem.

I asked AI "how much annual rainfall do you need to keep a 40k water collection unit full"

To determine the exact annual rainfall needed, you must multiply your roof catchment area (in square feet) by a conversion factor of 0.623. For example, a 2,000 square-foot roof yields about 1,246 gallons for every inch of rain, requiring about 32 inches of annual rain to collect 40,000 gallons.

1,500 sq foot roof - 43"
2,500 sq foot roof - 26"

Phoenix averages about 7.5" per year. People use more water than the climate provides in that area. Not all areas are the same, so what works in Bermuda or Texas, will not work in Phoenix.

Wait. You never saw a XC event at Illinois? What a miss! Almost as exciting as watching grown men flop for 90 minutes in a 0-0 tie heading into OT.
You know, you mock soccer, however I have seen 13 World Cup games and an average of 4.0 goals per game. None of the 13 were 0-0. You are missing out!

As for XC, nothing against it. My miss at U of I was not seeing the athlete during my time who would go on to achieve the greatest professional success - world number 2 in golf Steve Stricker.

I did see Dominick Minicucci compete - two time US Olympian

They both suck and the Democrats have embraced both socialism and communism. Your party.
Let alone, the DSA does not believe in private property or free enterprise. That’s not even socialism. That’s communism. That goofball probably still denies Antifa is the brown shirts for the DSA. It was the well to do kids who didn’t work that embraced the left in Russia. It was the leftist moonbats in Iran (and Carter’s ineptness) that brought about the Iranian Revolution. Yeah. DSA isn’t communist. LOL. #NBTE

Anyone of you that believes that Socialism is the same as Communism is embarrassingly ignorant. Anyone of you that equates a Social Democrat or Democratic Socialist with a Communist is not informed or knowledgeable enough to hold a conversation on politics. I take it that you are merely repeating the ignoramous Trump.

We know where this is headed, unlike Dems that need to be clubbed over the head with something before they become aware.

Dems said that just wanted marriage equality too. Now they support cross-dressing men in women's prisons, children being castrated, etc.

It will not take long for full blown communism to be supported by Democrats.

Illini XC is historically a very successful non-revenue sport. One of Virgin’s teammates has a grandson that runs for me.

I don’t really find it offensive that a lazy social media addicted dipshit doesn’t find it interesting.

Low as in Phoenix low? Like 1” so far this year low? That is not filling up a 40k gallon tank.

Where do you live? Texas, if I remember correctly. What part?
Not Phoenix low, no. We are mostly in stage 4 or stage 5 water conditions meaning very little watering is allowed here. Fredericksburg, Texas

WBB is a huge money loser for the U of I. WVB was always break even or profitable until they hung on to Tamas too long.

These sites try to push WBB like we actually care. Frankly, I would trade 100 women’s titles for 1 MBB or FB title.

I do like many of the non revenue sports a lot. I never did attend a cross country meet to see the truly elite athletes on campus. Craig V was well before my time.

More on Venezuela and their slow slip into socialist policies that ended in corrupt communism. Bernie, AOC and the lot are too stupid too understand what they are selling. As crazy as it sounds, there are US citizens buying this stupidity.

THE HARD TRUTH

It took one generation of “progressive” leadership to turn one of the richest countries on Earth into a nation defined by hunger, fear, mass graves, and mass migration.

This is the lesson history keeps teaching:

You can vote your way into socialism.
But history shows people only escape it through collapse, violence, or foreign intervention.

And here is the part Americans must understand clearly:

If this happens in the United States, there will be nobody coming to save us.

There you go. Averages 28" of rainfall each year. Great area for that strategy. 4 times the amount of rainfall compared to Phoenix, where that strategy is not going to work as well.

No strategy is going to work very well in Phoenix, because "it's the f'n desert". Every plan includes other states subsidizing the ability to live with water. Might make more sense to just have people live where there is water. Common sense.

You just proved my point about ignoramuses. Do the same analysis on Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Germany etc. That will make you realize you point is foolish and not based upon reality. Distinguish between political parties, government and immoral, stupid, corrupt leaders. You should be an expert on the latter. For those countries I listed, compare quality of life and happiness to that of the US.

Bermuda gets close to 60” of rain per year. Rain collection systems aren’t real useful in areas that don’t get rain.

Phoenix is at just over 1” so far this year.

Caveman level thinking going on here BW. Different parts of the world have different limitations. I was hoping you were at Water 101 level thinking. But I’m worried you are at CTE grade level.
You really have no solution to weather events, but complaints.

Have you even researched the rapid results of less than 100 beavers in desert areas of the West.
You poo pooed their rapid results to water storage.

There were two events that changed how the West handled water events.
1. elimination of millions of buffalo.
2. reduction of 400,000,000 beavers to about 100,000 in North America.

Do you know what a swale does to increase the aquifer ?

A subsidized product is an unwanted and undesirable product.

These Illinois fan sites all dutifully report on Illinois Women’s basketball which frankly no one cares about. People only subscribe to these sites for insight on MBB and football. Take that away and the business model is nothing but an electric car without subsidies.

The men’s World Cup just expanded from 32 teams to 48 teams and for the most part, the new teams were fairly competitive and worthy.

there might be about 16 competitive women’s teams in the whole world. Expansion there would be stupid.
Athletic prowess in several sports like soccer or hoops does not cross over between the sexes, usually above men's puberty.

Enjoy the sports as competitive within each of the 2 sexes and don't try to reinvent men and women.

I don't like watching the WNBA because it is dominated by large women wrestling and frequently throwing wild elbows or worse. The cheap shots on Caitlyn Clark are well documented but for some reason the WNBA wants a "physical" game. The male head coach of the Phoenix Mercury just made an impassioned statement that it was totally unfair for the league to suspend his player that just punched Caitlyn Clark in the throat. He has to do this as head coach except what he said is bullcrap and he knows it. All the Phoenix teammates backed the coach and the player's "physical play".

And the WNBA wants young girls to watch this?

WNBA "fans" pre CC and during her convalescence are disguised as EMPTY seats, that the tv broadcasts are cleverly not to be shown.

Nothing against soccer. If someone likes it, that's fine. Too many 0-0 scores, especially at HS level. I'd rather watch a pitchers' duel. XC...I ran it in HS until I figured out I could run any time I felt like it. Quickly switched to golf and lettered 3 years. Golf is good. Lots of business done over the years at the course, etc. I just wish I would have turned myself at the plate. Then I would have had no issue golfing during baseball season.

Longer video on Clark. Adam Silver is no David Stern. NBA subsidizes this nonsense. The WNBA GM’s would not choose Clark, if they were starting a franchise. This is an all-out effort to kill the golden goose. The other guard is better? LOL. The other guard isn’t getting stomped on and gets fouls called. Yes. That’s on Silver and those in charge of the actual league to force the refs to call fouls for Clark when she gets hammered routinely. As the video says, they are already beginning to lose casual fans Clark brought with her. These equality morons thinking they deserved bigger paychecks despite the league losing money are a big part of the issue. Clark is the best player and it isn’t close. They even tried to manuafacture a ROY race between her and Reese who can’t even hit a layup with consistency. A significant portion of Angel’s rebound numbers were from her own missed shots. The League, the women, the GM’s all are squandering the best opportunity to grow the game and actually turn a profit at some point.

They will be back to flying commercial and making $ 75,000 on max contracts if CC takes a year off to play on the LPGA.
