Precisely what the Magna Carta and our Constitution is based on. I guess you missed that part. Lmao.

Just how ignorant are you? Stephen Langton literally wrote the Magna Carta. It heavily influenced our Constitution. Did y'all just hate America and not attend class? Or, yeah, I get it, y'all were influenced by hateful libs who hate America. Ffs. Pick up a book.
So no, you can't define them, let alone what makes them distinct from other religions or simple common sense. Pick up a book, indeed.

Where in the constitution does it say the US is a Christian nation?

Christianity is constantly mocked and treated poorly.

That statement is just silly. I swear MAGA loves to claim to be victims while picking on everyone that is different than them. It's like a bunch of bullies decided to form a political group.
No, no. You just don't understand. Straight white Christians are soooo persecuted in the country. They're treated very unfairly, very unfairly. Probably more unfairly than any group who's ever existed.

What's the flaw in the so-called "sex binary?"

You can't define "female" and "male?"

What sexes are your parents, Winterset?

We actually fought a war, no other nation ever did, lost over 700 thousands lives to stop slavery.
You might want to consider reading about the Haitian Revolution and the Mexican War of Independence.

That's literally the definition of a theist, dipshit. Madison was likely a deist...

You actually posted the musings of Madison on why the government should be kept out of religious matters?? And you thought you were making a point that supported YOUR beliefs? Holy fu.ck, you're dumber than a box of rocks. I realize you could never comprehend Madison's "arcane" prose but did you even read the background?

Madison urged the Virginia legislature to reject a pending bill that would have provided for public funding of those teaching the Christian faith and pass Thomas Jefferson’s religious freedom bill.

JFC, you're stupid.
Actually, you are for a political party.

Lmao, if you actually believe the Haitians got anything out of fighting Napoleon. Dessalines was assissinated in 1806. Mexico went through 100 years of war after 1821. Nor did France have a true Revolution. They got a dictator named Napoleon. Try again.

You claimed the United States was the only country that fought a war to end slavery. I provided two examples of countries where slavery was abolished as a direct result of war.

You then moved the goalposts.

You know we have an entire amendment that prevents this. Not that the constitution matters the Republican Supreme Court
Prevents this on a national level. States had the right to do this however from the beginning. Later radicals changed this after the civil war to what it is today. But the founders gave states the right to have state religion via the 10th Amendment. That being said I dont agree if its required to read the Bible just like I dont think it should be required to participate in Pride events or any other event...

Changing the Constitution with the 14th Amendment equals “radicals changed this”?

So the people that won the Civil War, defeated the South and all those who committed treason, are now radicals in your view?

Interesting.

I assure you haven’t given more to charity than me. Sexual immorality is talked about often in the Bible. Try reading it sometime.
Compared to the discussions of money, feeding the poor/immigrant, loving your neighbor, it’s a pittance. And it’s always amazing how the GOP wants to legislate one that’s not often discussed but not the other that is heavily discussed. Crazy.

So you take the position that U.S. citizens declaring war against the U.S. is not treason?

Interesting choice to ignore the facts.

And Davis and Lee and several others were indicted for treason but then given leniency deals.

You don’t need a conviction for your actions to be treasonous.

And look where that gets us.

@kidmike41 is trying to say that nobody from the Confederate Army committed treason by declaring war against and fighting the United States, because … the U.S. chose to be lenient and dismiss the treason indictments.

Cognitive dissonance at its finest.

Innocent until proven guilty. Right? Iowa wasn’t even a state yet. Y’all don’t know how things went down.

Facts are not cognitive dissonance. Go live in your autonomous zone and talk about treason.

JFC what a rube. Iowa became a state in 1846. We lost more men per capita than any other state. Read a book.

You’ve said you want the state to legislate charity? My issue isn’t that Churchianity decides they personally don’t want to marry people of the same sex, or change their gender. It’s that they want to legislate their own sexual morality for everyone, it’s not personal choice. But the Bible does not spend much time talking about it. But they have no interest in legislating all the things the Bible spends a very great deal of time talking about.
