Similar. I like most any Sam Adams beer (the seasonal are generally a bit better than the lager but all good). Then Blue Moon or Yuengling. And Coors Light.
I usually pick one mass market lager each summer to supplement my usual IPAs. Two years ago it was Modelo. Last year it was Coors. This year, in honor of our 250th, it’s Sam Adams. I used to buy that a lot before craft stuff became legal in MS.

I just picked up a 4-pack of VooDoo Ranger’s juicy haze ipa, and holy smokes is it good. Just the right amount of bite, creaminess, and flavor.

What are y’all drinking?
I just don’t like hazy stuff. I went on a trip to upstate NY a few years ago. Everything up there IPA and most other styles, was like various shades of muddy water. Not for me. Best beer I have ever had was Blind Pig IPA on tap from Russian River out in California. I’d love to sample one of the Plinys, but have never been so lucky.

Groovy Don’s IPA from Yellowhammer in Huntsville, Good People IPA from Birmingham, Monkeynaut IPA from Straight to Ale in Huntsville.
Please continue to send all your money out of state like a good Mississippian

Well, brew better beer and I will keep it in state. I do like Lil’ Smack from Chandeleur in Gulfport.….just had one as a matter of fact. I used to love Timber Beast from from Lazy Magnolia. They changed it. I still buy it occasionally, but it’s slipped. I also used to like a lot of what Southern Prohibition in Hattiesburg did. They have kind of got crazy though, at least for my taste. I do miss Copperhead from Yalabousha. Whatever happened to them?

I used to love Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan. Then it started slipping & I got a couple six packs that were just skunky. Then I stopped seeing them in Kroger. I assumed they went out of business. Not sure what happened but they clearly weren’t what they once were.

My rotation has changed very little in 20 years - Amstel Light, Miller Lite, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

The VooDoo is a little too hoppy for me, but the abv packs quite the punch. This time of year, I like Dogfish Head’s 60 minute IPA or the old Sweetwater 420 standby.

Cold weather is more about stouts and porters.

While we’re on the subject of beer & craft beer… Brandon is getting a Sullivan’s grocery soon. Anybody have a review of their beer selection?

I’ve been a beer drinker most of my life but I just can’t like an IPA. My daily is either a Dos Equis lager, a Victoria, or a Shiner Bock. Semi local stuff I like a Chandeleur Freemason or a Suzy B from somewhere in Alabama but can remember where. About once a week I go to an Irish Pub for a couple of Smithwicks.

Jai Alai is legit. For IPAs I recommend Intuition I-10 out of Jacksonville as well, but it is about to be all gone since they just shut down. It tastes similar to Jai Alai.
I'm in Jax, and it was a sad day when they announced they were closing! My go to from them was Easy on the Eyes, and then I-10, but really all of their beers were solid.

My pool beer has been Cigar City Jai Alai. Otherwise, Guinness.
Jai Alai is good but a little heavy on the ABV for too many of them. They have a nice Brewery in Tampa that I went to a couple of years ago.

Surprised they closed or are about to. Their I10 was good and they had a good little brewery close to the Jumbo Shrimp stadium.

Sam Adams used to have a great beer called Noble Pils.
Not sure why they discontinued that one but it was really good I thought.

Im off IPAs for a while, sticking mainly with pilsners. Stella is my staple at bars, with Creature Comforts' BIBO in my fridge. I also like Prince of Pilsen at home, and recently had MAMA's Little Yellow Pils, which was excellent.

On a related note, I tried this yesterday on a whim:

Not bad, but not great, either. It doesnt taste much like Guiness to me, and the chocolate chunks are totally unnecessary.

^this guy has my taste buds. Dos Equis amber should be on that list.

I also love a good sour or wheat. Chandelier blueberry crumble is really good. The tangerine sour is good, if you like that flavor (not my fave).

Leinenkugal makes some good beers, but they're a lot harder to find than they used to be. Cranberry ginger shandy is the best. Berry Weiss is the next best.

Shocktop Honey crisp apple wheat was the bomb. Cranberry ginger wheat was the nuke bomb.
Yep, I like Dos Ambar and Modelo, too.
