I just had some tequila, so no beer the rest of today.

Beer of preference is stouts, porter, amber. If barrel aged, its best.

How many limey wankers or track suit wearing Eurotrash that prefer warm beer frequent a Mississippi State message board?
Nothing wrong with a good English bitter in a good pub in an English village or market town. It’s not warm by the way, it’s served at 52 degrees. Cool not cold.

A side thread: Why can’t Memphis do good beer? All the stores in NE MS carry a lot of it, and I have yet to find one I really like.

My pool beer has been Cigar City Jai Alai. Otherwise, Guinness.
Jai Alai is legit. For IPAs I recommend Intuition I-10 out of Jacksonville as well, but it is about to be all gone since they just shut down. It tastes similar to Jai Alai.

I used to get Jai Alai In Tupelo. It is absolutely legit! I haven’t seen it in a while.

I still like Ghost River Gold, Wiseacre Tiny Bomb & Got to Get Up to Get Down, and High Cotton's Mexican Lager. Some bars and stores carry Wiseacre down here in Jacksonville, and I even saw a Wiseacre selection at a pizza bar I visited in Denver a couple years ago.

Sour monkey is as easy of a 9.5% beer as you will ever drink if you are in to the sour ales

Beer prices, even plain old Coors Light, have gotten as high as giraffe poon.

I’m a Yuengling drinker most of the time. Otherwise it’s Andy Gator or Sam Adams Summer Ale.

We get a couple of wiseacre here. Gotta get up is fine. When my sister comes to visit, I give her an explicit list to get from wiseacre. I keep missing on astronaut status that seems like one I might like.

On the contrary though, my sister tried to give me some stuff made by crosstown(?) And it was trash.

Similar. I like most any Sam Adams beer (the seasonal are generally a bit better than the lager but all good). Then Blue Moon or Yuengling. And Coors Light.

I've been on the yellow jackets kick lately (Coors Banquet). Also still have Abita Amber and Yuengling as go-tos.
^this guy has my taste buds. Dos Equis amber should be on that list.

I also love a good sour or wheat. Chandelier blueberry crumble is really good. The tangerine sour is good, if you like that flavor (not my fave).

Leinenkugal makes some good beers, but they're a lot harder to find than they used to be. Cranberry ginger shandy is the best. Berry Weiss is the next best.

Shocktop Honey crisp apple wheat was the bomb. Cranberry ginger wheat was the nuke bomb.

I’ve tried all of those….plus their IPAs. Got to Get Up to Get Down is the only one I still occasionally buy.
